I am the filmmaker/author of “Black Fatherhood: Reconnecting with Our Legacy.“ I have researched and interviewed hundreds of men within the past 7 years to bring forth an intriguing look at Black men in their roles as fathers from their time of enslavement to the present. I am also a contributing writer for several on-line publications and I conduct lectures and screenings on a series of my short films addressing topics on Black families, racism, self-esteem, health, issues in Black America, youth, voting and the political process.
Great work. Is there any video footage available for viewing?

Hello Dana
Thanks for the friend invite and my family would love to be your next project..... Take care
Hey Dana..thanks for adding me as a friend. Maybe we can get together since we don't live that far away from each other. I'm currently working on book #3, but really enjoy writing.
I'm new to this showcase and through browsing, I came across your profile. It interested me so much that I checked out your website. Fascinating work you're doing and I'm not that far from you being a Detroiter. I have a Literary Arts non-profit targeting youth that love writing, poetry and spoken word. I also recently published my first fictional novel, with a premise that celebrates and sheds light on the black college experience.
In short, I'm asking you to check out my poem, Verbal Penetration @ the Poetry Jam forum and my book's website at www.trafford.com/07-0988 and let me know if there is any way our orgs. can work together and possibly connect the cities. In spite of what the world may be hearing, there are really positive things happeneing in Detroit. PEACE & BLESSINGS!
