Poetic Justice

Expectorating the daily slime

Through my poetic rhyme

Each stroke of my quill

Flushing away the landfill

Weapon of choice is my intellect

Bring on the next issue and/or suspect

Pitching stanza's from my bullpen

Captured on the paper linesmen

Oh it's on it's a prose filled wartime

Through my verse, I will restore peacetime

Jotting fiercely,extinguishing injustice

Slowly, steadily, achieving a poetic justice

You Are the Reason Why I Rise

Every morning when I rise
I praise God for blessing our love
Our love soars as high as the skies

I can see heaven come alive within your eyes
It makes me know why I rise everyday for your love
I'm sure we can be proud of cause true love never lies

Oh, we've got so much love
Blessed with another day to share
I feel the power of love hovering from above

We've got something to praise God for
I thank God for sending you
Our love is something I adore

Our love is like being on cloud nine
I'm grateful for marrying you
I'm thankful for you being mine

I feel love so true
Holding you, loving you
Our love chases away blue

When folks start to criticize
I pray for reassurance
I know God is on our side

Glass Tears

Glass tears cutting like shards of diamond rough as I cry

Tears of glass burning my face like a rainfall of lye

I'm pouring rugged piercing ceaseless tears of glass

Weeping sharp glass tears for this senseless War to pass

Streaming icy glass tears for innocence taken at tender years

Shedding gashing glass tears for the homeless whom no one cares

Pelting jagged glass tears for all the endless injustice and fears

Trickling burning glass tears for violence to stall against our peers

Praying for my glass tears to dry into a crystal window of hope

Until then faith and flowing glass tears are my only way to cope

True Love

The Truest Love dwells one's mind

The rarest gem you'll ever find

What had began as desire and lust

Slowly turns into comfort and trust

Love that encases,your body head to toe

It's pure and calm , yet, radiates a glow

A bond ,so strong ,it weathers any storm

Surrounds your soul and keeps you warm

Progressing from you and me to us,then ours

It constantly blossoms delicate flowers

IGNORANCE

Ignorance is Intolerant

It's emotionally defiant

It lacks self esteem

Knows no in between

It lacks tasteful tact

It does not rely on fact

Its' Not lack of education

But absence of communication

It's a bottom feeder

It's crime is beyond misdemeanor

It lurks and slithers around

Looking for peace ground
