The sky
The clouds
The flowers and trees
Birds perched upon carved branches
To the warmth of a summer breeze

Close your eyes
Draw air through your nostrils
A soft whisper in your ear you hear
Beauty is …
Never, ever fear

Works of creation for all to savor
Pallet of colors loading the brush
Regal the linage for mankind’s favor
Painting a canvas so noble and plush
Beauty is…
Never, ever fear

Beauty speaks of who we are…
African woman
Skin smooth velvet black
Carries a basket on her head
Child on her back
Swathed in pure colors from mother earth
Going about her business earning her worth
She knows her strength has power
Never uses it to devour
Just wisely to love her man
Beauty is her crown and glory…
Never, ever fear

African brother
Tall strong warrior
Not afraid of his feminine side
Full of compassion
For his companion
Isn’t afraid to cry
Nor does he fear work or strain
Strives to achieve his rightful gain
Beauty is his heart…
Never, ever fear

Beauty is the ancestry of us
Our speak
The clothes we wear
The food we eat
Drumming music in our heads
Sanctifying life
Family
Friends

It is the cry, the laugh, the coo of a baby
Things cherished
We stand and defend
As a people with a loving nature
Nurturing the world, with African culture
Beauty is our testimony…
Never, ever fear

Beauty is drifting into slumber
After praying that you’ll awaken
To see the light of day
An angel’s kiss in the morning
Lifting you out
Of the shadow of death
Beauty is righteousness…
Never, ever fear

Look at it, see it, its there, its everywhere
In you
In him
In her
In them
Look at it, feel it, taste it
Hold close to it
Beauty is…
Never, ever fear.

This was great Sharon as you were able to see beauty from many different aspects of life. People don't realize the blessings they have until something is gone. When you rise in the morning, open your eyes, extend your arms, inhale/exhale, lean from side to side....many blessings you have received. That's an unnoticed beauty so shortly.

You take it much further than that for others to see but when someone begins to complain about not having. Tell them that they're beautiful and already have plenty of blessings.

THUMBS UP!
