“Stepping Out of the Shadows” is a poetic journey through the life of the author. This collection of well written and diverse poetry, tackles issues and subjects that most are afraid to speak about. Vivid descriptions of the author’s experiences with abuse, neglect, molestation, love, relationships, teenage pregnancy, faith and suicide fill the pages of this book with a brutally honest delivery. “Stepping Out of the Shadows” is a reflection of the life of the author and the events in the lives of those close to her as seen through her eyes. It allows the reader to place themselves in the moment as they interpret the author’s poetic translation of her personal journey.
