I must give a world of thanks to Marcia McNair for inviting me to Black Author Showcase. As per my last conversation with her I want to apologize to everyone for me being so quiet with Black Writers Guild of America. I have been quiet because when I started BWGA last year I was overwhelmed by hundreds of calls from Black Authors around the country that have been swindled out of money from our very own Black brothers and sisters in the publishing industry. One of my purposes of BWGA was to protect and address Black Authors bamboozled and hoodwinked by these "Predators in Publishing". But I never knew there were so many who kept quiet and was silenced by others about this issue which I vow now to bring to light to everyone. My new project I have been currently working on is Black Singles Magazine. I am pretty much overwhelmed by this new project as well addressing the needs of Black Singles around the country. I am also dealing with writers around the country that want to write for the magazine. So I pretty much have my hands full and now will consider building a staff of literary professionals to assist me with Black Writers Guild of America and Black Singles Magazine Inc. Once again thanks Marcia for inviting to this beautiful group of Black brothers and sisters in the publishing industry. Oh I forgot to mention that I am working on my first book, an autobiography of my life story as a single father raising two teenage girls alone.
