Hello Aretha! Sorry to get back at you so late, have been busy with staging my one act stage play "THE GET THERE" (c) and hopefully, we'll start touring with it. Looking for a new publisher for my new book "THE BEAUTIFUL GHETTO" (c) (Poetry/illustrations/shorts/one act plays) . I hope that you're well Aretha and glad to see that you are writing! (I'm an illustrator as well and design my own book covers) , in re to your question? "How to make your characters interesting?" Why they already are if you've decided to write about them! Your question is really "How do I make my characters more believable"? And here's how, be truthful with the people that you write about and their situations, as I'm sure that you already do listen to what people are saying between the words. Stay away from repetition and boring ass cliches and situations.
