Black Author Showcase

Agents of Literary Change

Hello everyone,

After several months and weeks, we've finally updated our website at LABBX.com. The only page that will need further updates soon comes from you. If you have not registered for the Expo, there's still time and if you haven't filled out a program application form if you like to serve on a panel, conduct a workshop, etc, there's still time. Let me update you on what we're looking for so far:

Panelists for various discussions about genres, writing, publishing, etc.
Workshop coordinators, if there's anything you like to share, please do so with us
Spoken Word artists
Children's Book authors are welcome to apply, but they should talk to me first.

So far, that's an idea of what we're looking for, so please register if you have not done so already. As an extra added bonus, those who have registered may be interviewed prior to the Expo for North Bay Media Review. For those of you who attended the previous two Expos, you may have noticed we've held our Friday Night receptions at the Expo Center. We're going to move to a new location for the Friday night event only, but still have our event at the Expo Center that Saturday.

We have one month to go so the committee is working on quite a few things right now and for those individuals who need to speak with me personally, you can email me at info@labbx.com or labbex@gmail.com As we're still in progress with marketing, planning, etc., I may not answer all of your questions so please understand I'll try to answer them the best I can.

If you can't make it this year, then you can still participate by placing an ad in our souvenir book. The prices are listed on the registration page of LABBX.com, so if you're interested, please take time to send an ad on a CD disk and mail it to the proper address on the site.

Thanks for your patience and I look forward hearing from you soon.

Charles

SPAM IS SO NOT COOL!

Please do not greet everyone on the site with large images and announcements of your book or business. Yes, you want to tell the world, but learn the fine art of subtlety. A simple welcome and signature/link is fine. Let them ask you for more.
We have lost numerous members because of the amount of 'friend' mail they instantly receive. This Hurts Everyone.
Spam is unsolicited advertising, whether it is posted as comments on other members' pages or is emailed for marketing purposes.

Please be considerate. Post your advertisement in the proper Articles/Forum or Group. There are free classifieds on the Pages tab. You can post your information on your profile and even update your blog as often as you like.

We are not into censorship, so please don't make us ask you to leave. Be kind and unselfish - don't spam.
