Looking for love in all the wrong places seems to be Zaria Jones’ theme song. Moving from one bad relationship to another, she is convinced that karma has caught up with her, so she decides to try love on the other spectrum.

Women have always turned her on, but with the stigma that society places on same sex relationships, she chose to keep her attraction to women to herself. She was always able to do that, until she meets Charmaine, a tall hazel-eyed voluptuous beauty that takes her breath away.

Now Zaria finds herself in what she considers the perfect relationship. She is finally with a person who fulfills her every want and need. Their sexual escapades are unbelievably wild and erotic, leaving Zaria more than satisfied and not missing the opposite sex in the least. Everything was going great... Until that horrible night she caught her lover in a compromising position, which later leads to an even more ultimate betrayal.

Is there such a thing as the perfect relationship? Or is she destined to be alone forever? Follow Zaria’s journey as she finds out if the grass is greener on the other side.

REVIEWS

Lookin' for a Lover, debut novel by Zaria Jones, is one of those books that is more than what it seems. From cover to cover it provides shocking scene's that would make the most conservative person question their inner thoughts and feelings. Zaria's writing style is unique in which it provides the reader with an overflow of description. The reader can visually see each scene at is unravels because of her very good choice in words and phrases. The characters in this novel are well developed which allows for a more personal connection. After reading this book, I was left wanted to know a little more about what happened to Zaria, Jey and Charmaine. It just the right amount of cliff hanging which will make to reader anticipate the sequel. If you like erotica, urban fiction, and some drama thrown in, you will love this book.

LOOKIN’ FOR A LOVER-Zaria APOOO Rating: 5 stars

Lookin’ for a Lover is a must read for anyone that is ignorant on same sex relationships. Ms. Jones did an excellent job in portraying how everyone is affected by same sex relationships, the feelings were so real, that I really felt for Zaria, when she had to deal with how others felt about her decisions. Honestly though, this book is so much more than just a woman struggling to come to grips with her sexuality. I was pleasantly surprised on how this book turned out; the synopsis on the back of this book did not do it enough justice. Trust me when I tell you, you have got to get your hands on a copy of this book, because you definitely will not see where this story is going or how it will end. Lookin For A Lover is one EROTIC sensation that you will not put down until the last page. There's a new sheriff of erotica in town and her name is Zaria.

SISTAHS ON THE SHELF Contemporary Romance Rating: 4 out of 5

Lookin’ For a Lover is an INTENSE but ENJOYABLE novel. The book is filled with Zaria’s sugar-filled fantasies taken to the next level. Those moments alone will keep you ENTHRALLED, but the novel’s supporting characters and their storylines take the cake, as well. I DEFINITELY plan to read the sequel. With that being said, some of the book’s more outrageous situations will lead one to believe being gay is a catalyst to being crazy. This makes for a more EXCITING read, but a sad one, nonetheless. "Lookin' For a Lover" deals with Zaria and her quest to find her perfect soul mate. Zaria has dealt with many relationships involving men, but cannot seem to find her soul mate. She is smart, educated, and successfully runs a daycare but discovers that her life is incomplete. Zaria has become fed up with the games men play and decides to make a change for the best. She has always had deep feelings for women, but never expressed or approached another woman. Zaria then meets a woman, Charmaine, who makes her urges worse. As Charmaine enters Zaria's world, she begins to make changes - for better and for worse. Everything seems to be going smooth, a little too smooth. Charmaine flips the script and Zaria must re-evaluate her decisions. Was venturing to the other side the best decision for Zaria to make?

"Lookin' For a Lover" is a must read novel for anyone who is thinking of switching sides, but more importantly, it's a good read for all. This novel has a lot of drama that will keep you turning pages! I am waiting impatiently for the sequel.

Wanted: A Good Mate, June 2, 2008 By Ms Toni "Avid Reader"

Zaria Jones is fed up with the lies and foolishness. She's looking for a new love, baby. A new love...yea yea yea yeah! What she didn't know was that that new love WOULD LOOK LIKE HER. She's traded in the BOXERS for a THONG, the HARD body of a man for the SOFT touch of a female. With Charmaine, Zaria has finally found what she's looking for in a mate. OR HAS SHE? Does switching sides automatically eliminate the lies and foolishness? Can another woman treat her just as bad as a man?

From the jump, it's obvious where "Lookin' For a Lover..." is going. In the hands of a less talented author, that could be a problem. But newcomer Zaria , in her promising debut, brings EMOTION and FRESHNESS to a familiar plot. She writes CLEARLY and summons the necessary narrative, EROTICISM and CREATIVITY to carry this novel. Additional pluses - an INTERESTING subplot and some TANTALIZING poetry. I look forward to getting reacquainted with Zaria in "Lookin' For a Lover...Again."
