LIVING UNDER A FALSE SENSE OF EQUALITY - SISTER GEMINI'S LIAR

"Why are we as the black nation not thinking about the future of politics? Can we not change the future of politics by creating our own political party? Disown the three parties now and form our own political party for the black nation? Is it possible? Has it been thought about? Where do we start? Who is willing to take the reins of change in the political arena? Do we put this in the minds of our youth who are taking up political courses in colleges?"

"Could it be possible that the black nation have a specific party that holds their interest at heart or are we forever living under a false sense of equality?"
Gemini's Lair on May 9, 2009

Dear Gemini's Lair and all others
The Democratic party has produced a black president and as such it is all or nothing for African Americans. If we don't or can't evolve politically in this country let it not be for the lack of trying.

There are plenty of black people complaining and criticizing President Obama but yet they never offer an alternative name for whom they would prefer to see as president.

Now is the time to make our move. Now is the time to use what you have to get what you want.

No matter what political party you name, invent, discover or claim there are always black people that pride themselves in division by promoting the premise to agree to disagree. They are quick to remind you that we are not all one monolithic group.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney took your idea to create a different political party and created the Green party but the media ignored her and many African Americans dismissed her.

The B.R.S.C.C. is the only entity moving quietly while growing strong in the shadows to educate, liberate and elevate the minds of the people but even at that unless African Americans accept reading as the vehicle to freedom, prosperity and equality all ideas no matter how noble or well thought out are lost.

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that. At the same time, working…See More
