I’m Gone
By Nate Spears
Warm and hydrated
As I
Twist and turn my own bottle cap
Pop
Release the air;
Just Excitement
Packed inside,
No Co2
Refreshing it is;
To quench your thirst,
With achievement;
I drink from success
In doubts,
I’m not believing;
Seeing
Past trends
Brings ends
Ended by strokes;
I won’t strike out,
Or collapse
From your heat
Or your smoke
Scream,
Nope;
As I take another drink
And move on
My soul has wings
Red bull
I’m gone.
