How do people really come to care about another human being?
Is it a natural quality that we are born with?
Is it something we have to learn?
Many people in the world today simply choose not to care about other people at all. They go out their way to make sure they do not give of themselves except during those times in their lives when they want or need something from someone.
Then, we have people who care greatly about humanity and are willing to give much of his or herself, if necessary. However, they have discovered in their giving people did not receive them with love. Instead, they took their caring as an opportunity to strip and destroy them. This caused many to decide to keep their caring to themselves.
The problem with caring is expectations. When people care about others, they feel they can make a positive difference in someone else’s life. When that doesn’t happen, they feel used and their efforts were a waste of time.
Caring exist because it is a natural ingredient in the love current. However, when it expresses itself through humans, it becomes distorted through misinterpretation of what caring is really all about. The average person does not know how to care, even though they have a desire to do so.
Those who have made the decision not to care are people who lack spirituality. The fact that they made the decision shows they are in a state of hopelessness, because without caring, there is no freedom in which love can be manifested. You cannot separate caring from love.
Often in our caring, which is a strong emotion we give to strengthen another, we give to people what they need the least. Anytime we feel we can make a serious, positive difference in the lives of others, we have diminished the real meaning of caring. However planting and supplying tools of hope is life-changing from the standpoint you give them something to help themselves.
When we get so busy in someone else’s life trying to stop them from hurting, we stop them from developing their own inner power to become strong survivors. Caring for others when they are strong is much more beneficial than when they are weak. When you become active in the life of a person who appears weak or is having a painful experience, you are not revealing caring, you are revealing your hidden need to control and expose your supremacy as a great person.
However, when you show caring when all is well, you are showing love at its highest and a sincere respect for the other person’s position in life. As long as God exists, people will be cared for.
Caring is the ability to see only the best, even when things may appear to be at their worst. It is the ability to give—not because of need ----but because of spontaneous impulses brought on by love that has been freed to flow as it chooses. It is not judging a situation or a person; it is being spiritual at all times.
