Ladies, I have messed up my life so bad with all the bad choices and bad decisions that I made in my life. I remember exactly when the horrible cycle of poor choices and even worst, bad decision making started. I was 16 years old and decided within myself that leaving home at this time and not finishing my education was a really good thing for me and some how leaving my mother’s house was going to make me feel better, or at least start living this marvelous life that I saw in my head. I did go on to receiving a GED and completing some college courses online, but the cycle of a lack of discipline had already taken root.
They say it’s not how you start but how you finish that counts, but I am here to tell you that your start plays a huge part in how you will finish! I believe you can still get your finished final results by starting out bad, but the decisions you make and the choices you choose will determine the long roads you will have to travel on to get to this end result you seek. You can make your road simple or you can make it difficult. You see, success in and of itself require hard work, and if you add bad choices and poor decision making and a lack of discipline to that you get a disaster waiting to happen. And a life that is not disciplined for hard word toward success but only yielding bad choices is an end result of a life spiraling out of control until everything you ever had or wanted to accomplish is gone or to far out of reach.
You can not get success out of an unregenerate undisciplined mindset! These ingredients are a deadly combination that is wreaking havoc in the lives of so many women today. I would like to herald the call to all the women today saying “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Eph 5:14) And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. (Roman 13: 11-12)
Enough is enough! It is time to make better judgment calls about our life, our education, our finances, our relationships, and our spiritual walk with God. I want to help encourage you to gird up your loins with truth that you may be able to fight the fight of discipline that you may see success and victories in areas of your life that you are so over due in. And for those who are just beginning your life as an adult I want you to be able to start out right so you can finish strong.
Yes, I do believe that it’s not how you start but how you finish, but I declare to you that when you do start you must start out RIGHT! And this start has to be consummated in discipline to achieve your expected end. This consecration is not going to be for everybody, but for those who can relate by saying she is talking to me, or to those who can say I want my start to be consummated in discipline, then this consecration is for YOU! Now, let’s prepare to get started…
