Black Tears
Emotional flood gates open and black tears gush over the valley.
The burden has become too heavy, the pain is now excruciating and the levy, too weak to handle the pressure has finally broken.
Screams of despair are released from within her mind and travel at the speed of light through the valley of her soul. The sound is so strident that the natural sounds of the earth are muffled.
As blackness over powers the light of day, a chill fills the air. The raucous sound of the raging flood becomes as loud as the sound of her screams.
These are the last of her days …
An external release of her pain has begun to drown her in her own black tears.
She knows it may only be seconds before she looses control and can no longer hold her head above her tears. This brings a sense of relief.
The dark wetness against her body feels refreshing. It is almost as if the Lord is cleansing her of all her strife.
Quivering as the tears touch her chin, she closes her eyes and prepares for the final moment.
With a sigh of relief, she opens her mouth to welcome the fate of choking on her tears and drowning the pain of many years.
Ironically, the sea of black tears becomes transparent as a sign that her soul is released.
