Family Secrets...Lies and Alibis
By Nanette Buchanan

Family Secrets… Lies and Alibis is a debut of an extremely captivating, heartbreaking, emotional and phenomenal novel by Nanette Buchanan. Distraught and extremely upset, Darell Q. Mince leaves Virginia after finding out that his beloved parents were never married. Darell decides to take a promotion from his job and relocate to Maryland. Coming home from a business trip, Darell receives a phone call from an attorney regarding his father DQ Mince, advising him that his father had passed away and he was name the executor of his father's estate. Unbeknownst to Darell, he has two other siblings Dershai and Derrick.
DQ Mince was everything a woman can want in a man; handsome, and a very successful business man, however his downfall could destroy his relationship with his children. For over 30 years, DQ Mince was married to the money hungry gold digging wife Tonya but was in love with Darell's loving mother Nikki. This is novel should be a wakeup call to all females; men do have and will try their best to keep their secret lives away from home.
The question is will you be able to handle it once it's out in the open? Find out how Darell handles meeting his sister and brother. Also see what happens when the two women in DQ Mince finally meet each other at the funeral for the very first time. Yes there were some minor editing issues that can be annoying in a novel. But I found that in this case the story still has a nice flow. Mrs. Buchanan did an excellent job luring her readers in from the very first page to the ending. I can't wait for the sequel "A Different Kind of Love" to drop. This alone deserves a 10.
