Welcome back. The journey is picking up speed...
“Ladies and gentlemen hurry and come to the saddest show on earth! I’ll charge you nothing to see, the shell of who she used to be!” Her voluptuous body trampled by big block gators and a fresh pair of air force ones. Her sweet lips stinging from a backhand laced with bling and platinum as she’s forced to smell the stench of hot breath that reeks of words that could never be said in the presence of a “real” lady. Desperately, she tries to silence the cries of the innocent from her womb who never saw a day, as her heart beats only for life and not for living. This is all that remains of the woman who gave her worth away.
This is a real image of women who elected not to emasculate fragile egos or offend pretentious personas with the truth. Many times he was allowed to determine her value as long as he would stay, while she learned to dress up in name brands, hyphenate double last names and use distinguishing abbreviations to separate herself from the crowds, although she is more connected than she is distant.
Impatiently, your soul cries out, “Who are you?” You are the woman who has acquired her philosophy about life and lifestyles by coveting, imitating and embracing the barrage of conflicting messages from him, to them and those.
I thought I knew this time because of how I feel.
I thought I knew because of how I felt.
Sadly mistaken and looking at the hand I was dealt.
Was I, It, They, Them, worth it?
