Sensations Publishing is Growing!

When I decided to expand Sweetie's Books to include adult genre, it was a frightening move. I was moving out of my comfort zone of children's books to a very grown-up world of sexual content and adult language. This is a far leep from my usual picture books with simple rhymes and fantasy illustrations or middle grade books with clear, clean morals and teachable moments. Wow, I feel like a virgin! But I'm loving every minute of it.

Sensations Publishing, the adult division of Sweetie's Books, will release it's first book, "Her Best Friend's Lover" by Cee Brooks, next month. We have three other novels, in different stages of development, that will be released before the end of the year. Sensations Publishing, like Sweetie's Books, is a subsidiary publishing company. While the author absorbs some of the cost of publishing their book, we also invest in the process. For that reason, we review each manuscript carefully before we agree to take it on. We offer unpublished authors all standard publishing services (from editing to printing to marketing). For writers who have self-published their work we can help with the marketing and distribution aspects.

I've also been pretty busy with the re-release of my children's book, Sweetie's Place: A Moving Adventure. The reviews have been very positive, thank God!! And I really enjoy reading, coloring, and talking with the kids. I'm still trying to get into the school systems. Most of them openly discriminate against small publishers and self-published books. That's such a shame because they are depriving the children of some really good literature.
