The website for the ISBN agency is

Processing takes 10 working days. An extra fee brings 72 hour priority handling. If your book has already been printed, you can sticker your books with the ISBN once it is assigned. The ISBN and price should appear on the back cover of the book.

As I'm a self-published author, I need someone to make this clear to me. Is the ISBN considered a tracking device for sales to a degree? If that's the case they'll never put my book in the store. My first book Through The Storm, approx. 150 were pre ordered and then I sold about 200 more. They're still working by word of mouth. So as far as the ISBN # someone doesn't have the #'s correct. Only a few have been in the stores.

That is why I'm here because I'm looking to expand.

I appreciate anyones assistance.

Thanks for your input Afrika Midnight Asha Abney, my books do have an ISBN #. My query comes in at if they're using this for a tracking and my books aren't going through the system. The number is never seen. So that keeps me at the bottom of the pole.
