Hi:
On Friday, March 21st, 2008, two things happened that I hope will positively impact my budding career as a novelist. First, that was the official release date of my novel, Chickenhawk. Now, hopefully, it will become more widely available, as in being in stores, etc., instead of just online. I hope this way more people will become aware of it and so become interested in it.
The other thing is that the Queens Tribune did a profile about me and my novel that also came out that day. I read the profile (you know I went out and got about 20 copies of that paper!) and it’s pretty good. Many kudos to Sasha Austrie; the reporter that interviewed me for the profile. I hope the profile in the paper will also help broaden the potential audience for my novel. We’ll certainly see.
The Manhattan Times and Sugar Magazine are also interested in also doing reviews of my novel and I really, really appreciate their interest and look forward to their opinions on the novel.
Also, keep an eye out as I have procured the services of a young man I have dubbed, "The Chickenhawk Ninja," who will try to get his photo taken with a variety of celebrities while holding up a Chickenhawk card. He’s already done this with Ashley Simpson. Just please remember that the celebrities involved do not in any way, shape, or form endorse my novel! I’ll post the pics as soon as I get the chance.
