Yes authors write, but you'd better speak too if you want to sell books!

Ok so I finally finished my masterpiece book BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, published it, uploaded the eBook to Amazon.com, and prepared my paperback book for distribution through createspace.com. Great! Now I'll automatically start selling 1000's of books right? Wrong!

Maybe the best thing you've ever said is written inside the pages of your new book; but, besides publishing your book and posting links on your facebook, linkedin or website, you'll get the best "word of mouth" press via words…

After all, how many of us twenty-first writers would write and publish one hundred books in our lifetime? Or maybe fifty? Twenty-five? Ten? Writing a book can be hard work, but with motivation and persistence you can succeed. If you examine the…

Do people considered as grown-ups reach that “magical age” where they know…

Tony`s World:Losing Your Head

All around us,it seems, people are losing their heads about different situations that they put themselves in.The Tiger Woods and Senator Edwards scandals are classic examples of this. Not only are they freaking out,but so are their handlers, the media, and to a large extent, the general public. To me,it`s the danger of making people you don`t know, role models/ heroes.Falls from high places can kill careers and images. To paraphase the famous Kipling poem,"If"-"If you can keep your… Continue

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that. At the same time, working…See More
