to be cookin' up something
more positive...and more powerful
than ever before...
Elbow grease and midnight oil
go together like
leftovers and aluminum foil...
But not only at night...
What about during the weekends
and holidays when peers frolic

Check out the photos from the fair under the Photo tab. It was a beautiful day with so much happening on either side of Lenox Avenue (Malcolm X Blvd). The sunshine obscured some faces (we will fix that in Photoshop soon), but we just had to get these shots up so you can see the thriving publishing mecca.
The face of publishing is changing . . .

I am delighted to share my passion for writing!
Chantel Battiste is my eight year old granddaughter, born with a rare
skin condition known as Giant Congenital Nevus. When she
was born, no one in the delivery room knew what was on her face. She
also had large black hairy spots on other parts of her tiny newborn
body. The nurses whisked her away and put her in a special care
nursery! My daughter, 17 at the… Continue

Many times there are circumstances and trials that come along in our
life and even our walk with God that cause us to feel discouraged
and/or confused. If we are not careful, we will spend much of our time
worrying and focusing on the problem instead of the fact that we have a
Heavenly Father who has the solution. Instead of wasting our time
panicking and reaching to anything and anyone else to be the solution,
we have to take the time to seek God and His Word for… Continue

Most times she looks the way that I want to feel.
You know that happiness, you fear is not real.
Don't want wake up from this dream to see life spliting at (it seems)(it's seams),
she would lose it, if she misses one pill.
How do I describe the sparkle in her, I.
I say, "Did you see the purple clouds at sunrise?"
You know it just might rain, you know life comes with pain,
she knows the chance is there but this day she won't cry.
She's got a… Continue

This is a new feature that I will have on both my Facebook page and my website. A new super short story series featuring one of my characters, The Sandman. Enjoy part 1 of Evil Walks.
Al Hartman felt a cold chill run up along his back as he got out of his car. He even felt a cold breeze blowing up the legs of his black pants. It was a… Continue
