Life Of An Ethnic Writer

Hi All....

We are offically in the mist of the "Holidays". Thanksgiving has pasted and Christmas is on its way! This all brings me back to the joys I bubble with during these freezing months ahead. But, I would like someone who reads this to take five minutes out of their own lives to uplift someone in theirs.

To share or even care about someone else's well- being (a relative or stranger). The hoildays are not as joyous to all...

Give the lady in church a…

Just Venting - Parent vs. Parent

The holidays, special occasions, and events often bring family together. For a child it's a time where they can observe the interaction of relatives especially their parents. I've often wondered

about the emotional challenges of the child who lives with one parent

and visits or is not involved with the other parent. The questions, the

emotional roller coaster of dealing with what may seem like chaos

because of the parent's relationship no longer…

FAKE HOMIES PART 1-3

Fake Friends (Part1)

By Nate Spears

It's been a rough week

So I

Got out of my casket

Headed back to the funeral home;

Dropped off my suit and shoes

Drained myself of the embalming fluid,

Headed back to the my hood

That's where I seen my homies

It turned out to be

They were all phonies;

I can’t believe what I was seeing

At me

They all were laughing,

I died…

Release My Mind

Release My Thoughts

By Nate Spears

For 30 years

In this body

I’ve been incarcerated;

While here

I’ve made the best of my time

The birth of this event

Has paved the way

For

Plenty of time

For me to think;

In this place

Called my mind

While detained

I strategize

My plan

Once I’m released

When I return to

Society

I have the master

Plan

My freedom

I key;

I’ll show the…

Life Of An Ethnic Writer

Okay all I am sadden by my blog today...

Yes, it is an old event but it rang true to ordering your life. We can not forget the most intimate parts of our lives in pursuit of chasing our dreams.

My youngest baby girl was being bullied. I mean the situation was excaluting right before my eyes. Now, if I was blinded by the race than I would have had time to KEEP going back and forth to school. I wouldn't have known that you must give enough responsible time for a…

'Children' from Sensual Sounds by Marcie Eanes

Children

Our children know more than

we do.

They see the world through

unaffected eyes.

Thinking, not jaded by worldly standards.

Talking to them uncovers

pure love, simple lives

and unequaled joy.

Simplistic answes adults forget

the farther we move from zero.

Our children know more than

we do.

Unity models all need

in these troubled times

Small voices…

Life Of An Ethnic Writer

Okay folks...

Not sure where to began. We must learn to have productive conversations with one another. I'm learning that volume and temperment plays a very important part role in how others perseve what we are saying. People say " that's how I talk" but if "we" don't actually hear ourselves when we speak than we can't montior our tones.

Yes, Monitor...

We must watch the things that come out of our mouths. I think people have gotten into the habit of…
