Are You a Walking Action Item? (IF YOU THINK YOU ARE...PLEASE READ)

Do you find yourself having to update calendars, blackberries, internet accounts, and schedules? What about returning phone calls from a couple of weeks ago? Oh, did you make those travel arrangements to L.A.? Did the facilitator tell you about the change in the agenda? Did you pay your bills? I'm sure you forgot about your brother's 40th birthday celebration? Let me guess, you just remembered that you took more leave then you had saved at work. Don't forget about your deadline in a couple of… Continue

Finally Get To See My Name In Mary B. Morrison's Book... OH YEA!!!!

Hey Family I was in the mall today trying to get the local book wagon to take on a copy of my book. While I was there trying to be all smooth and suave with the young lady who was digging the big man, I noticed that Mary B. Morrison's book "Who's Loving You" was out..

Now this was big to me because I signed the release to have something I had written placed in the novel. I have to be real about all this.… Continue

A Woman's Worth? Part 2

Welcome back. The journey is picking up speed...

“Ladies and gentlemen hurry and come to the saddest show on earth! I’ll charge you nothing to see, the shell of who she used to be!” Her voluptuous body trampled by big block gators and a fresh pair of air force ones. Her sweet lips stinging from a backhand laced with bling and platinum as she’s forced to smell the stench of hot breath that reeks of words that could never be said in the presence of a “real” lady. Desperately,… Continue

A Woman's Worth ? Part 1

According to the American Heritage® Dictionary of English Language, worth is defined as the quality that renders something desirable, useful, or valuable.

Worth is an imputed right given at birth and is the initial responsibility of the caregiver. It is developed and nurtured or destroyed. A woman’s worth, when nourished properly is empowering to the beholder, but when neglected, destroys its host. It is most valuable when confidently owned.

So what defines a… Continue

A piece of my work.

"I don't want a child of mine born and im not going to be in it's life." Jamal said.

"So it's like that now? You was so happy at first. You gon do this and buy that... and now you ain't gon be here?"

"I want to be there but Sierra got me on lock and key. Im not losing my family."

"Your family? So what our baby? Is it not your child..."

"Im not going to argue with you over this. I told you from the get go that my family comes first. Sierra is my wife, she is my family. What… Continue

Feel Good....

Doing my thang the way it's suppose to be done...

Marching to my own beat, hell yes, I am the drummer....

Laughing thru life cause it keeps me calmer...

Enjoying myself cause tomorrow isn't promised...

I'm living the life I'm suppose to be living...

Dancing to the beats from my tailored symphany...

I too blessed to be stressed...

So gifted I gotta stay uplifted...

It's humility that keeps me out of trouble....

God's poured golden love all over… Continue

Which Pain is Greater? (Let's Vibe)

I often sit and wonder which is the greater Pain?

Physical or mental please help me to explain.

The pain caused by a physical assault

you can see with the naked eye.

But mental stress we don’t often see

Is hidden deep inside.

We apply ligament and Band-Aids to the wound we often see.

But nothing can be poured inside or cover things unseen.

We pamper all the outside wounds and dress them up so neat.

Yet the pain we feel inside continues to seep… Continue

Be Careful of the "Words" that you Throw!!

Many times in this life we face challenges that we just don't quiet understand. Then in anger we lash out with our words. We don't quiet realize that our words create our destiny.

Proverbs 18:21- Death and life are in the power of the tongue...and

Proverbs 6:2- Thou art snared by the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. I have learned words spoken in anger can not be retracted.

The old saying, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never… Continue

A Mother’s Plea

I was never given a manual on how to be a parent.

In this 21st century it really doesn’t matter.

Raising teenage sons with such a stubborn will.

I find it hard to master and the challenge isn’t thrilling.

I’m faced with generational curses from day to day.

Many sleepless nights I find it so hard to pray.

I often ask myself, “where did things go wrong”?

I thought I gave the orders not take them from my sons.

As I sat at home and watch the path… Continue

Duhart Expressions

Duhart Expressions is my business name.

Writing Poetry is my new fame.

I was inspired by the Lord one day to pick up a pen.

A brand new journey in poetry began.

I had never written a poem in my life.

I was searching for answers during a terrible fight.

I was in spiritual warfare with my teenage son

I was worried sick and didn't know where to run.

So from inside my ear I heard this voice say-

"Whose Voice Do You Hear".

I wrote what I heard… Continue

Invisible Tears

Shedding profoundly behind the heart.

Where no man can see them from the very start.

Putting on a façade from day to day.

Not even thinking about what others have to say.

Invisible tears never seen by man.

But deep down within you can feel the pain.

Tears that can’t be seen by the human eyes.

Flooding the soul so deep down inside.

Invisible tears shed day after day.

While watching your children who have gone astray.

They are hanging… Continue

Agility: Going With The Flow. . .

Being Self-Employed: Landing on Your Feet

During the 80s there was a very trite social ideology that dominated the then 'working' world: it was known as "Murphy's Law" and it's creed went something like this: "If something can go wrong it will. . . and if something CAN'T go wrong it will!"

For the past 3 weeks our family has been moving from one state to another. Now that of itself may seem to be a daunting task, which it is, however, we were/are fairly close… Continue

Fate

"When the crisis rises, and Shadow takes hold,

They shall return; their powers reknown.

And the darkness, They shall be rendered in twain,

The Chosen, victorious, time and again.

Illusion, Protection, Force, Healing, and Prophesy. Bind together for fate...

Unknowing, unassuming, yet unwilling to back down,

The Chosen fight bravely, they take back the grounds.

Chosen and Chosen, blood and blood, soul and soul

this battle unavoidable; these Chosen are… Continue
