Pondering what to write for this week’s blog, I was led to the above phrase as it relates to God’s invitation to humanity. It is God’s desire that all be saved and He invites all to come to Him without money, or any other baggage that could hinder the unsaved from receiving salvation.
What this phrase is saying that God in His love will do the cleansing through regeneration, sanctification, and justification for all who accept His gift of salvation, but the unsaved must first admit… Continue
The Problem: Slow eBook Sales
When I first started self-publishing and creating eBooks, I was all mixed up. I wanted to sell what I wanted to sell, whether people wanted to buy it or not *lol*. My hubby had a lot more experience in the retail industry than I did, so he kept telling me, “You can’t sell that one LaShanda, you have to sell the one that People Want to buy.” Being the stubborn gal that I can sometimes be, I stuck to my guns and pitched the Books I wanted to… Continue
Hi. Have you ever wanted to help someone out of a messy situation but wasn't quite sure how to do it? Well purchase a copy of When Life Becomes a Love Story and help empower someones life. soniamatthews.com
What you cannot control (Part 1)
1. First you want to start by finding all the errors in your file. This means that you will have to have a CURRENT COPY of your file. Your file changes daily and you should NOT dispute off an old file. This is why having a monitoring service is so important.
2. Write them down on a sheet of paper or type them up.
3. Dispute each account with the Credit Bureaus and wait for them to respond.
As I begin the NEXT stage of my journey - to the NEXT level of my life, initial thoughts of - "Can I really do this?", begin to surface. I quickly reflect back to the day that I got the idea to write a book - the day that it was just a "thought" in my HEAD. And then I fast-forward to the day that the book came and I held it in my HANDS - WOW, what an awesome feeling! It was that feeling, caused by a single idea, that I had to let sink-in. The idea of… Continue

It is really beginning to appear that the persistent rumors forecasting the eventual demise of the newspaper industry in America are not really exaggerated after all. However, one might actually say that they are all too very real. Neither is it simply the worsening economy that has been the major factor in all of this. However, over just the last year alone the economic downturn seems to have ultimately accelerated the enviable. Nevertheless,… Continue

All of my life I have been the center of attention. I was my mom’s only child. I have always been talkative and the life of the party. I love parties and get togethers. I am always in the mix.
When my husband and I got married he was always cool with that. He would tell me how he loved what happens when I walk into the room. It’s always “Rhasha is here!!!!” He is very laid back and chill. We hang out and he sips a beer and talks but he feels people out before he is all in. I walk in and… Continue
An evening with Obama
As I woke up Saturday morning I was excited at what the day would bring. We ate breakfast at Bob Evans and came straight home to get dressed. I copied the directions to the high school and emptied my pockets of all items, metal and otherwise. I told the kids to do the same.
My husband moaned and groaned as always about the traffic and the streets blocked off. I had no control over that but I was happy that it seemed everyone in the city was going to see the… Continue
What did u guys think of black in America? I thought it was very very depressing. I have to think that there were more positive stories. No more people doing well? No one in the urban areas doing well? That’s BS I know plenty of moms in the hood raising smart intelligent kids. So what we are all single, baby mommas, with aids who commit crimes and go to jail. I did enjoy the Rands story and the family who raised 6 children who are all doing well.
I can give them a story if they want about… Continue
If you didn’t know it our economy is messed up. I have been going to Aldi for some years now. My mom went when I was younger and I hated the off brands. When I moved out on my own I vowed to never go to an Aldi. We would go to Cub Foods, Kroger and Wal-Mart.
So after moving out and having a family of my own, I see times are getting rough. We have two thousand dollars worth of bills each month and so we are budgeting. We have saved a lot of money by… Continue
