As many of my readers know, I talk a lot about participating in industry trade shows, conferences, and events.

Radio Interview a BUST!

Hi all,

I stated the same thing in a discussion, but I figured i might as well post it as a blog too:

Well, I was all ready for the radio interview. I did all the things that I was asked to do by represetatives of the b.r. burns show... I sent them my bio, I emailed and told all of my friends, family, and associates to tune in, I even bought a new telephone because my old one is a cordless model and can sometimes be unreliable. I psyched myself up, did some additional research on the… Continue

Soul Talk

My soul speaks

She calls from deep within

I'm listening closely

For she's whispering

She's yearning to connect

With something from of old

It's time, my soul cries

It's time now to be whole

He's here, I can feel him

Of whom I've derived

The man that God used

He fashioned me from his side

Come close dear mate

This is what I desire

My soul yearns with this passion

As if I'm on fire

Deep calleth… Continue

The Spectrum

Wrote this for a lost love...

The Spectrum

Through black and blue

To love anew

My love remains

Through every hue

Bright yellow smiles

Warm lavender laughs

Take my heart

Surrendered half

Tranquil white peace

Speckled with blood red tears

Loving you free

My love, a colored sphere

Emerald leaves

Growing… Continue

I'm just in receipt of "Blessed Assurance" my third and most recent release. The only thing that I could do was spread my arms far and wide. Feeling just a crisp breeze, the stream rolls and I say Thank You Jesus. I'll get up there with You Lord. It's been a long battle but I'll continue to fight another day. THANK YOU Lord because it was for me that you died! Here's a touch with me and my open heart......

What IS Important in Relationships?

What I have come to realize after being divorced for many years is my ex-husband and I did not share the same core beliefs. For him, the ideal marriage was keeping a wife "barefoot and pregnant", to use an old phrase. During our relationship before we got married, this deeply embedded conviction, passed down from generations of men in his family, never surfaced. We both way too young to even think about getting married --at least I was, and perhaps that blinded me from recognizing the signs of… Continue

Those Hummm Type of Days....

Changing my here and now in this mist of the mess; I know is the key to positive evolution. Tomorrow is too late and not a given but, today, this very second, the breath I'm taking now is where I start. This is my world - I only get one shot at it. I realize living by other peoples rules will kill you! Literally... bad days are a state of mind. We allow theives to steal our joy and peace of mind. Whether good, bad, right or wrong- how I see myself is all that matters. The laughter I give off… Continue

Looking for a Love of My Own

I'm pouring out my heart tonight

I'm hoping to finally get it right.

I've been across this bridge before

this feeling of loneliness builds up in the core

That's why I write,

I want something to call my own

I need something that isn't a loan

I want a brother dipped in gold

I'm tired of holding my tongue

I want my home to be where he belong

I want to hold hands with a man

Have a problem that he'd understand

Pray together and get in the… Continue

Daddy... Benjamin Franklin Moore

Daddy... Benjamin Franklin Moore

by Sharon Moore Stenhouse (aka) a’Kihoro

Benjamin Franklin Moore –no, not the wall paint manufacturer; my father, was the kindness, most gentile man I have ever known. People often flocked to be in his presence. He was born, along with his twin brother Joseph, on a tenant’s farm in Abbeville, South Carolina sometime between 1910 and 1920, no one alive knows for sure. Most in the family called him Ben although I can remember he loved… Continue

Richard Wright (Kwansaba) Nat Turner to Native Son, Tick-Tock

Whites created him, but they didn’t know
Until Richard “Bigger” Wright told them so
Holding Blacks down by an abiding fear

It's Down to the Wire for My Debut as a Non-Fiction Author!

It has been a while since I have posted a blog here, but the news is good!

I co-wrote the memoir, "Unflappable" by Carolyn E. Mosby Williams with Lisa D. DeNeal(ME!!) and we are now in the final proofing stages. "Unflappable" will hopefully be released between late summer and early fall with more than 300 pages on the decades of my dear friend Carolyn E. Mosby-Williams, a marketing and public relations whiz in the Midwest.

The publishing company is gearing us up to set up… Continue

Dear Dad,

I know we conversed earlier. I was listening carefully.

My heart was pleased, as it is right now.

I just thought that I'd let you know

how much I truly appreciate you,

how grateful I am that you are my Father.

I know sometimes I come to You with selfish needs

and for that, I ask that you have mercy on me.

You have loved me like no other.

I'm not beating up on myself,

but I know that I was hard-headed and at… Continue

Good Morning Beautiful

Good Morning Beautiful

I've been full for a while

I've eaten the finest things in style

these days, I look forward too

being with you has brought a certain calm

to my life, you brought with you the most wonderful things

Good Morning Beautiful

my heart sings

I could make love to you a thousand times

yet, out of body, out of mind.

The dew, the misty rain

my heart sang

I enjoy this union from… Continue

The most beautiful colorful creature

never a bother

just spreading it's wings flying by

A magnitude of growth

many directions

reaching for where ever the wind blows

red, black

blue and purple too

So many dreams come true

Abstract indeed

Have a destination

trying to find it's destiny

intimate, and lost

caught in it's stages

but breaking… Continue

Secret Garden

Secret Gardens

Hidden here there is a place

In my little space

Pleasingly waiting to greet your face.

There are roses here, and perrinials too

The Lily.........gum drops made just for you

The Secrets here play over and over again

It brings beauty, and restores chance after chance.

It's a place for one to relax

A place to lie down your spirits and don't retract.

My garden, I hope will… Continue
