At The Movies - Trilogy

At The Movies (c)1998* Lets go to the movies

and see something scary

I'll wear a skirt

without any panties

Lets sit in the front row

so no one will see

the sweet sexy things

you'll do to me

You'll get on your knees

You'll spread my legs wide

You'll rub with your fingers

You'll push your tongue inside

You'll chew on my lips

and make me scream

but no one will notice

you know what… Continue

I Forgive You

I Forgive You

How can I forgive you

For your light sleeping

And awareness of

Your husbands creeping

Into your youngest

Daughters room

To rob her virginity

Forced to sleep next to her

I saw everything

How bazaar that he could

Rape her repeatedly

As she lay near to me

How can I forgive you

For hearing our whispers

In the back of the house

Yet ignoring your daughter

Trying to stop your spouse

From… Continue

Blaq Man, Bronze Penny

Blaq Man, Bronze Penny

My Blaq Man, I liken him to a rusty bronze penny.

You know the kind that you find all scratched

and tarnished in the middle of the street.

My Blaq Man is so abrasive and rough that you

could cut yourself if you held him too tightly.

I acknowledge the merit of my pennies that are

so often discarded, left behind and considered

worthless by most. The strength and value of

My penny is only recognized when I mass… Continue

Divorce is Devastating

Divorce is Devastating

Mr. & Mrs. Jones

Did they ever have a thing going on

The envy of all the world

Until real life situation

Dissipated the illusion of perfection

One night in route home from the in laws

Mr. Jones emphatically stated

“I don’t want to be married anymore”

Slightly shocked, kind of crushed yet not really

It had been months since they were blissfully happy

Not long ago they lost their baby

Days followed Mr.… Continue

My First Cover, I am smiling like a little kid.. Tell me about your first time??

OK, Yes I know this is just one part of the witting process, to have a book cover. However, when you have come from a non-writing background as I have, all these baby steps are great and precious leaps to me. I Love them!! The Idea that I am actually an real author makes me smile and humble. I can't wait to share this with my children, my students and the world. Regardless of its production outcome, this is a big step for me.

I know many of you have gone down this road,… Continue

Babyboy (Acrostic Poem)

Be it as it may, you are the epitome of essence.

Another glance at you will drive me insane, so excuse me if I turn away from your presence.

Beauty is on the inside as well as the outside, so you have the best of both worlds.

Your youth is amazing and your smile is blazin' and at times, I tell myself, "I bet he has more than one girl."

But, when I asked you if you were single, you said, "No. Actually, I was looking for you."

Optimism ran through my head by what… Continue

Raindrops

To the naked eye each raindrop seems the same, but if you close your eyes and look at each raindrop with your mind’s eye you’d see that every raindrop is different. Raindrops are snowflakes yet to be frozen and no snowflake is the same yet they are all beautiful in their own way. All humans are raindrops similar yet different but beautiful in our own way like raindrops

So

The other day on the fifth Anniversary of our invasion of Iraq our Vice President Chaney said so when he was told that 75% of us the American people believe that the war in Iraq is a mistake. So what if we never found weapons of mass destruction. So what if we never know whether Bin Laden is dead or alive. So what if Hussein is dead but nothing really has change. So what if we are now looked at as the terrorist in this so called war on terrorism. So what if we have sent more American to their… Continue

Today I met my Father

I have been waiting over twenty years for this day, and now it is finally here. I am excited but nervous. I got hundreds of questions to ask him. From do I have any other siblings, has he thought of me and the biggest question of all why did he leave me? My mom used to tell me I looked just like him and I wonder when I see him today will I see my features in him. Well I hear someone coming this way it must be him. Wow, all they gave me was a flag and some dog tags and took me to a white cross.… Continue

They'll Never Understand

They'll never understand why their laughter makes me cry.
They'll never understand that what they call truth I know it to be a lie.
They'll never understand as much as they hate me I love them just as much.
They'll never understand why on them I'll never give up.
They'll never understand why I don't blame them for their views.
They'll never understand why I do what I do.
I do it because that is who I am.
But they'll never understand.

Fragile Heart

Fragile Heart

A heart is fragile and must be protected...

I didn't want to hurt anymore

So I took the keys and I locked the door

And I built icy walls of brick

So strong and thick were they

That just one look would turn away

Anyone who might cause pain.

Then you came along and acted like

you didn't see the walls, the doors, the lock

And tenderly you lit a candle near a block

And there you knelt

And waited for the ice… Continue

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that. At the same time, working…See More
