What You Need to Know About Me:
After The Beginning/ In The Garden
Children’s Book
Sue Adkins, Author

No one knows what happened in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were sent away forever. What did the animals do? How did they take care of themselves? It must have been an adventurous time. In the first of these stories, animal friends decide to go to a distant and forbidden place. A monster captures one of them. Village friends decide to go and rescue him. Sometimes we listen to and follow others who want us t o do things we should not. That can lead to big problems. We have to remain strong against those who try to get us to do wrong.

This story shows kids why it is good to obey and tell the truth. We must also pray, and be ready to forgive. This book is an example which is told in story and songs. We pray that these lessons will become a part of the lives of all who reads this story. We hope it will make kids think and influence them in a positive way.

EINJA’S BEAUTIFUL SONG
A Story From “Kwanzaa Celebration”
Sue Adkins, Author

Many of us seek connection with our history, ancestors and the country of our origin. Dr. Maulana Karanga, an educator and political activist worked to strengthen and bridge the gap between Afro-Caribbean, Latin, and African-Americans with the people of Africa. He focused on the similarities, customs, symbols, and foods; and created a cultural event built around the traditional time of harvest. His work puts a focus on specific principles with encouragement on learning, discipline, and working together toward a common goal. The Swahili language is used to introduce principles and symbols to build and strengthen children.

Sue L. Adkins is an author of Children’s books with music, a playwright and actress. She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s and Southern Methodist Universities. She lives in Plano, Texas with husband Henry. They have three children.
