- I have a painting of Africa I've been doing for years, an image of somewhat the same as my painting of Africa is on a blog and maybe copyrighted. Why did I not have my painting in print before now. My son's are disappointed and so am I. What I would like to know is how long has the image been in print and where did it come from? The image and my paintings are so much a like. Not thinking that someone would copy or try to make something so near mine. My daughter told me not to sell my pictures to the public until they were copyright. If I do write a book it will be about my paintings of Africa and how I lost the right to call it mine.

Please do not greet everyone on the site with large images and announcements of your book or business. Yes, you want to tell the world, but learn the fine art of subtlety. A simple welcome and signature/link is fine. Let them ask you for more.
