What You Need to Know About Me:
Eloquence: Rhythm & Renaissance is poetry and short stories about personal growth, nature and spirituality. Words so soothing...they melt in your spirit not in your mind.

I wrote it to help people connect with themselves first and understand the connection between art, the natural world and all things.

The degree to which we align ourselves with our purposes is the degree to which we will transcend and be transformed.

I enjoy active outdoor activities such as tennis, swimming, volleyball, bike riding, hiking... as well as indoor activities such as bowling, pool, ping-pong, board games and cards...

Music, singing and dancing are passions and desserts.

Asante Sana

I & We Are Strong

I have breast cancer

she said to the world

courageously sharing private pain

voice breaking at the meaning and sound

another step further on uncertain ground

another gift of service to tell us

you can feel fine and still have cancer

early detection is the answer.

I feel strong

I feel strong

as tears pool and spill gracefully

sometimes emotions build suddenly

Personal Growth: It's Your Job!

I need a job. I have to go to my second job. I have two or three jobs. My job is... None of these statements are talking about working on personal growth.

Time used working on personal growth is often relegated to “if I have” time. That's like taking care of personal health or personal hygiene at random or when it's convenient or when prompted by talk shows or only around New Year's Resolution time.

You won't fall into this spare time crime if you love yourself.… Continue

Bring blessings

like mountain breezes and well water

as warm thoughts do

Conspire with the universe

to benefit a doubting world

Cling to confidences

purpose to words

To: Natural, My Love

Natural, My Love

When you embrace your hair

It’s like, you’re with child

Blossoming enhances your smile

You bring to life, fresh air

Your twists, locks, braids and afro stuffs

Add elegance to any room

As glorious as the peacock’s plume

Always the exquisite touch

Natural, My Love

My destiny, your legacy

Mesmerizes like Victoria Falls

As primal spirits call

You captivate and… Continue

Hi Usiku:

This is just a heads up - A new company is starting in 2009. It will publish novels for women over 40. In other words, the main character has to be a female, over 40 years of age. She does not have to be black. The writer's gender and age is not an issue. All genres welcome: general, mystery, romance, historical, etc. Write to Brenda Frazier for more information. Her email address is:

All best,

hello Usiku

a look inside my next book

It was a picture painted beautiful,
that is my love for you,
it has been a wonder to embrace
the life that flows through the joy of loving someone
as lovely as you

Something created from above,
Gods gift of a perfect love are all the things I have in you,
another something wonderful that has come true

In all that I may ever say surly this is beauty at its best,
a lifetime of happiness
