What You Need to Know About Me:
O.K. I am currently working on my labor of love and in my perfect world I'd like to have it published b4 the end of this year. However, I am going back and forth between do I self publish and if so, how do I go about doing this, if not, what is the process of shopping for a publisher?

I have not done much research in this area and I hope that Some1 on this site may be able to help me out or at least point me in the right direction.

I look forward to any comments and suggestions.

Tami go to morrispublishing web site and request a publisher kit. It's free and will be very helpful for you. I self published a book of poetry last year Say Boo Let Me Holla At You and Your Home Girls Too www.sayboo.net. I used instantpublishers. The was good and the price was right. You should check the site out also.

Tami, hi. Unfortunately, the only person who can emancipate that first or any novel from you is you. For most, Writting is a solitary avocation unless you have a writing partner. All this to say, Tami, finding the time and commitment to sit and pound out the words is the first step to getting a book written. Go for it , sister.

SPAM IS SO NOT COOL!

Please do not greet everyone on the site with large images and announcements of your book or business. Yes, you want to tell the world, but learn the fine art of subtlety. A simple welcome and signature/link is fine. Let them ask you for more.
