"The Tongue" - Poem written by Ruth Sadi El

THE TONGUE
Written April 1987

The words you speak will never die
But they live on the truth and a lie

We can do everything
But control the tongue
It shoots out words
Like a machine gun
The words hit here
And they’ll hit there
At times we speak them
And we… Continue

Day 28 National Poetry Month

This is day 28 of National Poetry Month but for a true poetry April is every month.

Once Upon A Time Ago

Once upon a time ago
Our Ancestors lost
Their way
Enslaved in a country
Stripped of all they knew
But they never forgot
How to pray
They tried to keep up
Their culture and customs
From the Motherland
They loved
Generations past
And they forgot
The true Message
Was sent from above
Generations of History
They tried to erase away
But they forgot the strength
Of our people was found
In… Continue

Day 25 Ntl Poetry Month

APRIL 25, 2008

IT'S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

It's hard to say goodbye
To one who was so close
Who stood by your side
Who talked to you the most

It's hard to say goodbye
To someone that you love
The fear of not seeing them
Below or up above

Why is it so hard
When you know
Death is not an end
They go on to smoother seas
Where their life starts again

It's so hard to say goodbye
When this earthen vessels
Is no more
But the real you inside
Has gone to another shore

On this plane of manifest

SPAM IS SO NOT COOL!

Please do not greet everyone on the site with large images and announcements of your book or business. Yes, you want to tell the world, but learn the fine art of subtlety. A simple welcome and signature/link is fine. Let them ask you for more.
We have lost numerous members because of the amount of 'friend' mail they instantly receive. This Hurts Everyone.
