What You Need to Know About Me:
A Man in Transition is a special project. This book of poetry has deep meaning to me. I was never a child that considered that God would even think of giving me talent enough to write anything. English was my worst subject in school plus I learned to get around the fact I didn’t like to read. Well as you grow and mature you start to have many experiences in your life. The Lord’s voice grows stronger and if you go in a different direction you’re still going to experience something.
This is my chance to share with the world glimpses of what my life has been. This book has six sections that all touch on the man I am and was. In each area I wrote from my heart I wanted you to share my Love, Pain, Joy and Sorrows. I know that many people write for various reasons; my motivation is my children and the children I teach. I want to show my children there is nothing that can’t be done if you have true faith in God. To my students I want to show them no matter what their weakness there is nothing they can’t accomplish. I once had a teacher, Mr. Goldberg tell me in the seventh grade “Keith, you are the worst thing your mother ever had!” and he was my English teacher. Go figure now here I am a teacher and writing this book. This is the start of my literary journey and I am not going to stop here. Please enjoy yourself and like anything else give this a second read and see if you can see or feel my emotions in each poem, story or rant.
I am a child of God and I have turned my life over to the Lord and with each project I undertake, I want the readers to know the role the Lord plays in my life. Money is not my motivation it’s the idea of having a people reading my words. So if you’re reading this thank you for making my dreams come true.
Sit back and take your time, I truly believe you will find something inside these pages that will touch your soul. A Man in Transition is a labor of love and example of what can happen when you trust those around you who say, you can do it.

God Bless.

K. L.

This isn't always the happiest time of the year for some of our children. I'll speak up for them.. Fathers Listen closely..

I have spent many a day in school listening to the pain our children have at the hands of Fathers who don't seem to understand the power of their absence. No greater time than the holidays when those actions hit home. This is a piece that speaks to the Promises not kept.. It might sting a little and fathers if your one that is mention in the poem today is never a bad day to start to reconne… Continue

No one listens to hacks like this. And for someone who is so "intolerant" he (or she) sure knows a hell of a lot about black comic superheroes.

This is the same kind of crap that keeps my material from even being considered by the bigger companies. That's okay, someday I'll be laughing all the way to bank. (If I can stay out of the poor house.) lol
