Have You "Freed Your Inner Book" Yet?
Yes, Whew! It was worse than delivering my first born!
What You Need to Know About Me:
I was born October 10, 19… in good ole Queens, New York. I had a difficult childhood, though it’s not your usual abuse story. I developed severe eczema and most of my schoolmates shunned me until high school. Books became my friend.
Early in life, I found myself fascinated by the macabre. I would actually set my alarm if one of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock, Rod Serling or One Step Beyond was coming on late at night. These kept me up ‘til the wee hours of the morning.
Being raised in Amityville was the icing on the cake. My biological mother died when I was thirteen, the age where puberty reared its ugly head. Needless to say, I was a wife and mother by the time I was seventeen, divorced at twenty. Then I met Fred, my second, current and final husband. We’ve been together 36 years. He helped me become an adult although I went kicking and fighting the whole way. Together, we raised six children. I’m now a Gramma of 10, great-Gramma of 3!

hello Jean, here is what you missed, this is the last poem I will be sharing from my next book

This moment *

Nothing sweeter, a captured emotion,
a tender kiss, passionately to touch your lips
every caress a sensuous hunger,
where motions become a dance
to hold you close,
the scent of the moment,
the essence of the affair… fills my head,
this paints a picture that takes passion like a storm,
with the beat of your heart
you move my world,
the sound of this takes me
to where my imagination has dreamed,
don’t make me wait…
love me as if it were the first time,
let this moment be every moment you desire me,
be the love I sing to when you want to be
all I ever

Hey,
Sunday, Diane Dorce (my publisher) & I were on the way home from a very successful book signing in MS. During the signing in Walmart, a woman stopped at Diane's table, said she felt the need to pray for her and they prayed together.
We were in a great mood & had listened to a gospel song "Never would have made it" on the radio when the back tire on the driver's side blew. The car went out of control & spun around 3 or 4 times on the freeway. We went down a 500 ft. embankment BACKWARDS @ 55-60 mph. I thought I was never going to see my family again and asked God to forgive me for all my sins. Suddenly the car revved up and then it just stopped! He was definitely with us.
People from the freeway saw us disappear off the road & stopped to find us & help us get back to the freeway. Everyone kept saying it was a miracle that we came out of it w/o a scratch! It wasn't until I was halfway up the hill that I looked back. The car was SO far down I couldn't see it! They probably wouldn't have found us if they hadn't seen us go over. It took 2 tow trucks to get the car, the heavy duty 1 attached their cable to the 2nd 1 & lowered it down 2 reach the car. When they got it up, the tow truck driver told us we'd stopped less than 2 ft. from a large creek that was 15-20 ft. deep!! I can't believe I didn't even see the water!! The paramedics checked us out & we were fine, even our blood pressure wasn't as high as they expected!!
A state trooper took us to Budget Rent-a-Car & while Diane was getting the rental, I shakingly went outside for a cigarette. Then the weirdest thing happened. I looked across the street & there was a cemetary. Directly in front of me was a tombstone with my dead brother's name ELLIOTT on it, clear as day. I even tried to read others, but it was the only one that was clear, the letters were that large. I feel God & family surrounded us and kept us safe.
As we got into GA (yeah, we kept going, all we wanted 2 do was get home) "Never would have made it" came on the radio again! Diane & I cried the rest of the way home.
I know I'll never take life for granted again.

Greetings and welcome to the community, Jean. Maybe we can convince you to use some of that early training in the macabre to write a bit of speculative fiction. You might just be the next Rod Serling! So glad to have you in the network.

My goddess of love *

I marvel at your site
every curve every line just right,
to look upon you
to see wonder, takes my breath,
my every moment will be thoughts of you,
as desire comes
my heart in anticipations
my soul on burn,
I yearn for the sweetness to taste what will be
moments of burning passion,
a living history to become a part of me,
a masterpiece truly for all to see,

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that. At the same time, working…See More
