Mental Illness

My novel What My Sister Didn't Know is about two sisters who fall in love with the same man. It showcases the turmoil the women go through as they fight to maintain the bond of sister-hood while dueling with feelings they can't ignore. My novel also touches base on a topic that is not really talked about in the African American household or community. Mental Illness is a serious disease that is shunned fearing the stigma it brings. I have a man

but does he have me?



I don't know because he stays in the street

more than he stays with me.

I clean his house, cook his meals, take care of
