So...
Still I Search
From the shores of Africa to the white sands of Goree island,
Only to be sold in America, England and South America.
On the coast of Florida my family’s seed was planted.
That became ubiquitous, growing like Kudzu moving up north.
On the back whining roads of Clinton South Carolina.
Still I Search
Tracking Red dirt over the Memorial Bridge,
Along the side of the Tyger River, through Newberry,
around Lauren County into the heart of Columbia.
Spirits touch the core of my heart in the deep dense woods.
It anchors onto my soul to be emancipated through my tears.
Many felt imminent and precariously left the atrocities of inhumanity,
They left plantation fields, Abandon the" Paramour Rights"
Rally to embrace the " The Germantown Protest" and
Boycott the buses in Montgomery Alabama.
We fought together for many of years to free our people.
Still I Search
Songs down by the riverside, Subterranean underground
railroads immersed in basements. We prowl around the
Indian's reservations. As fugitive we discreetly tries to get by
and around "Jim Crow Laws", with Trails of blood to follow.
Wiping tears from Ethiopia's eyes still-hunting for our Pride.
Still I Search
Through the hills of Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh they roam
Till they found solace and a family that is cohesive.
Three great rivers sheds the Power for a mighty Steel Industry,
Where many of our Ancestors work and prosper in life
and call a little steel town home.
Now I inherit
A new land with Civil Liberty to speak my mind and
The Will and Stength to endure Mortality of bondage.
A Legacy of genetic qualities and many
Traditions to reinstate and persevere.
I inquired
Heavenly Gifts, Eternal life and
A road Map to stay steadfast on.
The promise of a Mansion by following,
the Master’s plan and his laws.
I am a Queen still climbing
Jacob's Ladder…will u step with me?
Jesus walks before thee and
The Holy Ghost leads me,
On the path of Love, Peace, Hope
Faith and Pure Compassion for all Mankind.
