- I am the author of poetry book entitled: Reflections of Us.
This book reflects, celebrates and uplifts black women in the inner-city.
REFLECTIONS OF US
This book has raw and heartfelt poems that will touch on sensitive topics such as: being a single mother, loving yourself, finding love, lesbian relationships, the of love for drug dealers and street life etc. It will also have empowering poems on how to overcome struggle, how to embrace our beauty, our culture and become business owners, instead of workers.
Overall "Reflections of Us" reflects the ugliness in the inner-city community in order to ignite change within ourselves. It gives inner-city Black women a stronger identity and self love in a world where we are not celebrated, but often degrated.
So my people please give me feedback and support.
This book will be available in OCT. 2009.
