- ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Frederick A. Murphy is an up and coming African American author who produces a strong voice through his work. Growing up, he’s had the opportunities of living in various places: Warrenton, North Carolina; Springfield, Massachusetts and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He now resides in Prince George’s County of Maryland, but being born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, he still considers himself a Bostonian. Upon graduation from Commerce High School in Springfield, Massachusetts, he signed up for active military service in the United States Army. Soon after, he became a student of Atlantic Union College located in Lancaster, Massachusetts where he exceled in two semester courses of Writing and Rhetoric. By the many things he chooses to write about and will continue to write about, he has and will continue to show the world his versatility as a writer.
