Crazy Faith: Ordinary People; Extraordinary Lives - May 19,2009

Rev. Dr Susan K. Smith discuses her book, Crazy Faith: Ordinary People; Extraordinary Lives. The book examines the premise that real faith is crazy; people believe that they can do the impossible. I have defined faith as vision fueled by action, and have suggested that faith is not necessarily an exclusively religious notion. The book takes the stories of some Biblical characters who have done extraordinary things, just because God said do it and they believed God and that they could do what God said do. The book also examines the lives of some so-called "ordinary" people who did remarkable things, including Mary McLeod Bethune, Mother Teresa, Harriet Tubman, John Roebling ... people whose faith was just amazing ... and crazy. Hi :

This is just a heads up - A new company is starting in 2009. It will publish novels for women over 40. In other words, the main character has to be a female, over 40 years of age. She does not have to be black. The writer's gender and age is not an issue. All genres welcome: general, mystery, romance, historical, etc. Write to Brenda Frazier for more information. Her email address is: writingtimes@aol.com

All best,
