What You Need to Know About Me:
DIANE A. SEARS is the author of a book on Fatherhood and Men’s Issues – IN SEARCH OF FATHERHOOD® -- TRANSCENDING BOUNDARIES; the Managing Editor of a quarterly international male parenting journal which was launched in October 1999—IN SEARCH OF FATHERHOOD® --- and is exclusively published and distributed by BSI International, inc. (www.bsi-international.com) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and the creator and moderator of IN SEARCH OF FATHERHOOD®’s blog at http://globalfatherhooddialogue. blogspot.com – all of which facilitates a “Global Dialogue on Fatherhood” for Men who are Fathers from all Walks of Life throughout our global village. The concept for IN SEARCH OF FATHERHOOD® was created by Sears’ mentor, the late L.T. Henry, a classically trained jazz musician who performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and was a former drummer for internationally acclaimed songstress and film and television star Ms. Della Reese; author; photojournalist; and sales and success motivation trainer who died in March 1999 without having an opportunity to develop his vision of an interactive Fatherhood Forum. Shortly after Mr. Henry’s death, Sears began the process of resurrecting her late mentor’s vision through the launching of the quarterly international male parenting journal, the publishing of a book, and the creation of a Fatherhood blog.

SEARS is a member of the University Council for Akamai University’s Fatherhood and Men’s Studies Program (www.akamaiuniversity.us) which is located in Hilo, Hawaii. She advises the President of Akamai University on Fatherhood issues and assists him in the enhancement of the institution’s Fatherhood and Men's Studies curriculum and in forming strategic alliances with national and international Fatherhood organizations. She is also a member of the Philadelphia Fatherhood Practitioners Network.

MS. SEARS has interviewed more than 100 Men who are Fathers throughout our global village concerning issues directly and indirectly related to Fatherhood and has developed working relationships with male parenting organizations in Australia, Canada, Europe and the United States. She has authored and published reviews for numerous books about Fatherhood and men’s rights issues including Father and Child Reunion: How To Bring The Dads We Need to the Children We Love, by Warren Farrell, Ph.D.; Swallowed By A Snake: The Gift Of The Masculine Side Of Healing by Thomas R. Golden, LCSW; The Ultimate Survival Guide for the Single Father by Thomas Hoerner; Nothing’s Wrong: A Man’s Guide To Managing His Feelings by David Kundtz; Hey Daddy, Read This by Donald Roberts, an award-winning journalist and anchorman for Virginia’s NBC-affiliate television station WAVY-TV; We Fish: The Journey To Fatherhood by University of Pittsburgh Vice Provost Jack L. Daniel, Ph.D. and his son Omari C. Daniel, Ph.D.; Being The Strong Man A Woman Wants: Timeless Wisdom On Being A Man by Elliott Katz; The Spirit of Fatherhood: Embracing Our Role As Fathers And Reclaiming Our Children by S. Bruce “Olamina” Stevenson; Death To Diabetes: The 6 Stages Of Type 2 Diabetes Control & Reversal by DeWayne McCulley; Responsible Manhood by Winston Smith a/k/a Alan Barron; The Man’s No-Nonsense Guide To Women: How To Succeed In Romance On Planet EarthTM by Marc H. Rudov; Fatherhood by William H. Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.; and Save The Males: Common Sense On Gender And Family Issues . . . It’s About Time by Richard F. Doyle.

Sears continues to be the subject of electronic and print media interviews concerning Fatherhood issues and has presented an academic paper on Fatherhood issues entitled, “Resurrecting A Vision -- Redefining Fatherhood” for the “Social Entrepreneurship, The New Media And The Single Father” panel at the Eastern Communication Association’s National 97th Conference which was held on 28 April 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Sears is also a free-lance journalist, Federal Communications Commission licensee, and a Notary Public who, since 1989, has worked with Philadelphia-based non-profit organizations through the provision of marketing/public relations services.

TO THE FATHERS OF THE WORLD.....

In many ways – and for many reasons – Fatherhood transcends the boundaries of geography, religion, language, culture, economics, ethnicity and politics. Day after day, Fathers from all Walks of Life throughout our global village experience the joys and challenges of positively shaping the minds and souls of their children. Fathers inherently understand that children are more than mere extensions of themselves . . . that children are our future – our bridge to the future.

Hi D.A. :

This is just a heads up - A new company is starting in 2009.  It will publish novels for women over 40.  In other words, the main character has to be a female, over 40 years of age. She does not have to be black.   The writer's gender and age is not an issue.  All genres welcome:  general, mystery, romance,  historical, etc.  Write to Brenda Frazier for more information. Her email address is: writingtimes@aol.com

All best,
Anita

thank you for the add, yes I am a writer of poetry, mostly passion and love, sometimes I may take a step out of my box and write something that has also touch my heart like my children, I am a single father of two and they are truly my reasons why I do. Later this year my next project will touch the hearts of many, here a look inside Complicated Passions "In love with love"

The Passion

The Essence of a Stranger
“I will forever be”

I will be
the very essence that brings passion to you;
to all you have ever desired
my love will be, unbreakable.

I will be like the stars at night

my emotions shall be as if your world had a hold on me
and that would be endless

My love for you a melody to sing,
for all the joy it will bring, are just moments away
listen to the words I have to say

I will call your name
just to hear the sweetness it will bring,
in my days and my nights even in my dreams

I will forever be
all that you want your man to be,
I am your living fantasy
just to say I am brings joy to me

My love for you complete, holding your heart true,
this is just the beginning of the pleasures
I have in store for you
