- I'm retired from the Air Force and now a writer. My first two books, "Love Won't Let Me Wait" and "A Southern Belle" are just released on Create Space and Amazon. I plan to have 3 more novels out in 2008, a trilogy in what I call "The Insatiable Series."

The Last Man on Earth
He woke up with the sun blazing down onto his face. He used his arm to shield his eyes and opened them slowly.
His head hurt so badly!
What happened?
He sat up gingerly. His body hurt too.
He looked around.
Nothing but sand all around him.
Sand and sun.
What had happened?
Was it an explosion? He seemed to remember a burst of light…somewhere…somehow.
He couldn’t remember…couldn’t think.
His head hurt so badly.
He stood up, winced at the pain in his side.
He turned around, looked around.
