You have great role models in T.D. Jakes and Iyanla Vanzant; they have both made it their mission to reach beyond the walls without compromising their integrity, what they believe, or Christ's teachings. I know you will do the same thing. I pray that you will be blessed as you bring honor to the King of Kings!

Like you, I'm a Christian author reaching beyond the walls. You might be interested in a recent interview at http://favoritepastimes.blogspot.com/

Blessings to you.

Profile Information

Hometown:
I am a published author of several poems, including The Millennium Woman, Rules to Live By, and The Other Woman. I was the Chief Editor of The Color of Service Military Magazine from 1998 to 2000. I am currently conducting research for my next novel entitled “Relationships” where I will depict real life stories of heterosexual and homosexual relationships; those that made it and those that didn’t.
I have over 20 years of successful sales and marketing experience in various entities as well as owned and operated my own printing businesses for over 13 years. I enjoy the writing styles of Iyanla Vanzant, T.D. Jakes, Terri McMillan, and Carl Weber to name a few and quickly becoming fans of authors from this site.
I am a Christian woman who believes that God has a message for all Christians to deliver for him beyond the walls of the church. Sharing real life experiences in “real talk” to reach and empower people is my sole mission. Although my writing styles may be controversial to some, the mission is clear, to empower young people to love themselves and above all else put Christ first in their lives.
I implore you to visit my website www.thestruggle.4t.com where you can view excerpts from the novel and post your comments on my guest book.

Have You "Freed Your Inner Book" Yet?
Yes, Whew! It was worse than delivering my first born!
What You Need to Know About Me:
Do you ever find yourself asking why Britney, Lindsey, and others are so crazy? Why are those who have the most going for them acting so destructive? Is traditional rehabilitation becoming a new age joke? While you are shaking your head, ask yourself, why am I so lucky? How did I beat the odds? But the real question is what separates you from them; is it a moral compass?
Self-destruction is a silent killer and we have the power to make the right decisions for our lives and yet many of us face circumstances that do not allow us to make the right choices and self destruct. How do you find your way back to sanity when you have hit spiritual, mental, and emotional rock bottom and there is no one to throw you a lifeline?
There is an old saying that goes, "Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” That's what I have set out to do with, "The Struggle to Fall in Love with Myself". The mission of this novel is to provide instruction on the following: 1. How to fish for God, 2. How to establish self respect and dignity, and 3. How to achieve inner peace and happiness. "The Struggle to Fall in Love with Myself" is a true story of a young girl who was smart, talented, and God fearing. She was a prominent singer, star athlete, and runway model by the time she was 17 years old. In contrast, she was also an alcoholic, pothead, abused wife, and mother by the time she was 18 years of age. As a young adult she spent her life in a series of dysfunctional relationships, encounters with the law, and attempted suicide before she realized the happiness she searched for was within her. She found her way back to Christ and he centered her world.
