I’ll Holler At You! Here the author is giving humanity the scolding she feels we deserve with a collection of personal essays that bitingly express everyday frustrations.
“For many of us the year 2000 represented a futuristic dream of change and hope, but what has really changed? With genetically engineered crops, Enfamil, pharmaceutical and conveniently elusive street drugs we’re technologically proficient, growing taller, thinking faster, but reacting the same way, paranoid and un-accepting. If our hopefully goal-oriented choices have a point, are we mindful of the frequency; long and short term affect; volume and intensity? We are in our infancy, blankly staring out of our crib, utterly fascinated with the spectrum of sensationalism, ratings and pushing the envelope. So how do we learn to rise above our own self manufactured B.S.? It’s ridiculous how we too often have to holler in order to be heard!” Some may argue people don’t want to be hollered at but at a book signing with an equal number of all the authors’ books, it was the essay collection that went first.
“Yeah give me that book where you’re yelling.” This short but poignant collection delves seriously, wisely, philosophically and humorously into various issues important to the author and maybe a few other folks out there. Check it out,

A FORWARD MOTION! A number of scenes cannot fail to remind readers of their own teenage years. Young girls at a
Jackson Five concert dreaming of being the one selected by their favorite Jackson, yet not really wanting anything to intrude on the fantasy. The peer pressure to become sexually active or to follow the group against your own better judgment. The desire for education but the fear of alienating your less academic peers. The writing in these and similar scenes is fresh and sharp.

Formatted like a DVD complete with a trailer, documentary, deleted scenes and a website listed soundtrack, this story dive head first into industry taboos with this mainstream faith-based coming-of-age interracial romance set in the seventies. A story that reflect the authors own 1970 inner city experiences that include screaming over the Jackson Five and former sharecropper parents who migrated from the south during the historical
Great Migration. From screaming star struck teen-agers to budding entrepreneurs to deep religious convictions. From a neighborhood playground to the NBA to a breath taking ski resort. The characters innocent but often gritty performance make this, a multi-cultural, eclectic thrill ride! Future history will determine if we’re all really just standing still, traveling in circles or moving in
