What You Need to Know About Me:
Anita Diggs was born in New York City and raised in Manhattan. After working as an on-air radio announcer for a few months, she joined New American Library (NAL) as secretary to the CEO. There she learned the ins-and-outs of book publishing from acquisition to bookstore placement. When Penguin Books purchased NAL, she left the company and went to work for Ballantine Books as a publicity assistant. After a year, she returned to Penguin Books and worked her way up to Senior Publicist. While working as a publicist, Anita began reading manuscripts and writing evaluations for the editors.

After evaluating 100 manuscripts and writing a book of her own, she made a career change and became a renowned book editor.
She has also worked as a literary agent but today she spends very little time in that area.

Anita has worked as a Senior editor for Random House, Editor for Time Warner Trade Publishing and Senior Editor forThunder’s Mouth Press. She has lectured across the country on the topics of novel writing, book proposal development and how to get a literary agent. The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, C-Span, The New York Daily News have interviewed her. Columbia Journalism Review placed Anita on their “The Shapers” list for the year 2000. The Shapers is a list of prominent New Yorkers who shape the national media agenda. Diggs is the author of 3 novels: A Mighty Love, A Meeting in the Ladies Room and The Other Side of the Game. No, I don't think much will change. Even as of now, racism and bigotry still exist. There are people that can't wrap their minds around the idea that POTUS loves his wife as much as he does. He married her, didn't leave a bunch of babies for the welfare system.

This is pretty much the same thing that came out when the Cosby show started.

Good Afternoon,

I read a blog earlier in which you stated that your fee is $2.00 per page; however, your website lists $6.00 per page. Is the lower fee based on the level of editing? (ie, Developmental vs. Production) Any clarification you can provide is appreciated.

Regards,
Triniti J.
