What You Need to Know About Me:
I am married, mother and grandmother of four with one more on the way. I am a Christian and write fiction and non-fiction articles, devotionals etc., but I also write for the secular market as well. In fact, I try to make my writing as non-preachy as possible to appeal to a wider audience. I have completed a two-part novel series and am now trying to find an agent to market them. I am also working on an e-book. In addition to that, I work as an occupational therapist in the school system and write and do glass etchings when I get home. I recently set up an online store for my etchings called etchings and things. Anything else? Oh yeah, writing is my first love. I also love the Lord, love reading, music, dogs and springtime.

Becoming A Successful Writer

Last month's posts featured successful female writers whose accomplishments may seem impossible for some of us to emulate. After all, how many of us twenty-first writers would write and publish one hundred books in our lifetime? Or maybe fifty? Twenty-five? Ten? Writing a book can be hard work, but with motivation and persistence you can succeed. If you examine the…

In the Wilderness

My steps drag, my breath comes in ragged gasps,

My tongue clings to the roof of my mouth.

In the wilderness.

Wearily I sink to the ground

and bury my face in the dust.

A gentle touch makes me look up.

"Come into a desert place and rest awhile"(Mark 6:31).

I lean against You,

Breathe a sigh of relief.

A covering appears over me,

Shading me from the merciless heat.

"...the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite… Continue

Angela,

Nice to meet you here. I also write fiction and devotionals and, like you, I love the Lord.

If you get a chance, you might be interested in an interview about my writing journey at http://favoritepastimes.blogspot.com/

Have you connected with any publishers? Attended any writers conferences?

I will speak my heart, my emotions true
so that my very words will bring joy to you,
my desire to give passion a new name,
I will speak them sweetly
to the one who has set my desire free,
they will burn like a raging fire
for every moment to have you surrender
the sweetness of your love to me,
I will caress the very essence of your soul,
I will become a slave to love
call me passion and I will fill your every moment
every time you call out to me
