The Price Of A Dream

To live this dream was to watch intently
with eyes that wept,
ears most clear,
heart wide open,
so all who came before would know
their full measure would no longer be denied.
African and Native ancestors of my blood
could claim their tranquility
from this moment of time
when freedom in unassuming grace
embraced us all as one - 01/20/09

That Look

That look,

her look

black ribbed turtleneck

perfectly framing her body

the line of her nose

the slope of her neck

the swell of her breast

I slip

into her hug

and electrify as i drink her scent

My eyes,

resting on her back

that plump, round back

that I used to kiss

kneadding cheeks

wandering tongues

that tickle a rosebud

that I would ride

until ecstasy' release

threw me down next to… Continue

.IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY

I was born in 1960 to an ambitious, bright, beautiful, compassionate African-American woman. My arrival proved to be a lesson for my mother dramatizing how differently things can work out from how one may plan. My father, a young Med Intern at the hospital she worked abandoned her as soon as he made residency. With little choice under the circumstances she bore her shame and turned to her parents. Leading to my being raised by my grandparents not my mother. Not such a bad deal since they… Continue

Hello Afrontive: I am doing well and staying far away from hell.
I am praying and hoping for the best, not for myself alone, but you and everyone else.
I purchased a book from one of my Network friend - Vernelle Nelson, she is on My Page. The old saying goes - "good things come in small parcel." Her little book isnamed Favorable Conditions and worthwhile reading. It's very informative. Great stories.

Catch you on the next link.

Love

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that. At the same time, working…See More
