Gratitude

When the world had sliced my soul, you healed my scars.
When people said that I was bleak, you told me to keep reaching for the stars.

When my mother and I had a disparity, you understood my pain.
When I cried because my man left me, you gave me a Kleenex to wipe away the tear stains.

When I thought I was not going to pass my classes, you told me to keep striving.
When I wanted to put my pen down, you told me to keep writing.

When I wanted to die, you told me to breathe.
When I wanted to hold on to the past, you told me to leave.

When I could not find a job, you told me to hold on.
When I told you that hope had vanished, you said, “Not for long.”

When I said I wanted to become an author, you said, “You can do it if you believe”.

Therefore, if it was not for you, my dear friends; I would not have been able to achieve my dreams.

God never puts anything on our plates that we can not handle. And it's true that He may show us the way through others. So you see that we all can accomplish our dream if we truly desire to, plus do the work it takes today then tomorrow we can say we did it! My wife encouraged me for fifteen years to write my book THE GOLD COIN, that's how long it lived in my head....lol! When someone extends a hand to us, we must reach out and take it, wheather now or later, they are trying to show us the way to something we can not see for ourselves.
