SLEEPIN' WITH THE PUBLICIST...

...Oh snap!
You never thought
that it would come
to this did you?
You started to fiend
and thought
that woman
was a public and private
relations machine...didn't you?
She consented
and you just
unrelented...
You never thought
feelings would ever
surface in your behind
the scenes dealings...
...and now THIS!
She's left you
for another artist...
The mornings after
are always the hardest
to deal with...
She loved
and you lusted...
She departed
and you got busted
by your significant other...
My brother,
You can never see
it coming...until it arrives...
Welcome to the world
of screwed up lives...
It's difficult to sleep
in a wretched bed that's been made...by you...
But this is the result
when actions forbade
results...come true...

The wedding's off...
You've lost a treasure
Unfortunately, this is what happens
when you mix business
with pleasure...

ARE YOU SLEEPIN' WITH THE PUBLICIST?

Young, Black & Male

I gave birth to a bright eyed pink baby boy.
Until that time I knew no joy.

He is beautiful from head to toe
I wonder when he grows up
will he know friend from foe

He’s all grown up now and dark as night.
Still beautiful with eyes that shine bright.

He’ll keep his head up and do the right thing
He already knows the sorrow that he brings

He’ll hear his parents whispering to him
and praying for his soul at night,
He’ll see himself in his father’s bright eyes

He’ll be alright with whatever he has to do
because one thing he knows for sure,
His family’s love for him is pure

THIS WOMAN WAS MY LIFE

i need a helping hand. someody guide me through.
i just lost the love of my life & i don't know what to do.
night sweats & a lot of shaking... i'm so impatient.
if i don't get what i want now...! i'm nervously breaking.
it's like a train with no track; i'm stuck at my destination.
i want to kill that bitch for putting me in this fucked up situation.
somebody tell me i'm wrong... just leave me the fuck alone!
i want to be by myself... why can't someone come bring me home?
i love her, i hate her... i can't believe my behavior
the stress is killing me. i've started to lose my hair
but we were the perfect pair. why would she do this to me?
the punishment doesn't fit the crime. i even worshipped her feet!
i pardoned my needs, anything to see her smile.
that's not even my style... now the talk of a child?
Ahhh! i can't think! i'm so angry i can't breathe!
i'm too dizzy to pass out! i'm exhausted, but can't sleep!
i'm too dehydrated to eat & too weak to drink!
i've been screaming for so long my heart keeps skipping a beat!
she convinced me to give my heart then took it out of my chest.
i feel like Davy Johns when he put his heart in a chest.
but in reality i was this close to killing myself.
the only thing that saved me was the thought of living in Hell.
thank God i remained sane. i started thinking real hard,
why would i hurt myself when she's the one who's a fraud?
i sent myself away ecause i know how i can get.
without a way ack home i figured everybody could live.
So she's having his kid... i'm thirsty for revenge.
i'd have had it all planned out if i ain't go on a drinking binge.
friends helped me regain sense, although i lost the definition.
i'm like, "Fuck everybody! You all are my opposition!"
i started talking to myself. i felt my soul dividing.
this little voice was getting louder, coming from out of hiding.
i felt like i was posessed. i had conversations with myself.
i snapped out & looked for help. it's affecting my mental health!
i was scared to go to sleep with that entity in my dreams.
it took a lot of will power to keep me from being drained.
Dealing with all this pain, what the fuck have i become?
i still taste her on my tongue... feel her nipples under my thumbs.
how do you proceed with your life when this woman was your life?
when your best friend sleeps with her he's stealing her every night.
he's cumming inside of her & mixing in with all her juices...
all the years i've given up now seem so fucking fruitless!
i feel useless! eing together made us feel like we had a purpose
until "permanent" temporaries because promises aren't certain.

i wrote this a while ago & just want to know if anybody understands my feeling.

Who am i

I'm the one you tease,
Cause i'm different.
I'm the one you bother,.
Cause I'm just there.
I'm the mat you step on.
I'm the rock you kick around.
and you think you can control me.
Like I'm the clay and you're the sculptor.
Like I'm the robot and you press my buttons.
But you can't control me.
I may be noting as you say.
But your words don't mean jack to me.
I am sonebody.
sooner or later you'll see me on the street.
with my head up high,
while you're eating my dust.
And I'll be wondering,
who's laughing now!

Abandonment

Longing as the dear panteth for water,
For the love of a mother or a father.

Thank God for the village that has raised me,
But it is this union that I have thirsted to see.

I have denied our connection and walked far away,
With a gnawing inside of me from day to day.

I gave myself over to this grave understanding;
They did what they had to do—no room for reprimanding.

So I searched this vast land looking for something else,
All I found was a tour of hell, a God, and no sense of self.

I searched my memories for our last connection,
I found with Mother I was four, with Dad it was at conception.

I also remember that I was to be aborted,
Because of the call of God that plan was distorted.

I entered this realm with no physical vision,
My sight was taken through an ungodly incision.

Zero to three are a virtual blank unto to me,
For at four I saw Mother walk out into the streets.

I left my Father at conception with no recollection,
For his sperm was my only sense of direction.

My precious Grand(mother) was there in the gap for me,
Because Mother had really abandoned three.

Grandmother to love is second to Thee,
But now she was no longer single and free.

We all stood with the hope that you would one day return,
Through hell fire and brimstone the truth we all learned.

When it was visibly clear to each individual,
We all held our pain and this is the residual.

Poor Grandmother was left angry and frustrated,
The fullness of her woes on me were illustrated.

My sister so young, innocent and sweet—
She got her parenting from drugs and the street.

My brother was left with only part of his soul,
In the confinement of a prison is where he grew old.

I ever longed for the physical touch of women,
To embrace my body and remove this omen.

The gift that you gave me became a curse,
My birth was a disaster, my life even worse.

With the freedom of an unparented soul,
I found something greater than my initial goal.

I found that Merciful God that I knew before you,
He showed me that your actions were genuinely true.

He reminded me of the fact that He is sovereign;
The whole of your life you alone did not govern.

He allowed me to see that there was a reason for me,
I now acknowledge that your union was the key.

To both of you I owe my life’s gratitude,
Through the grace of God I would like to show you.

Whether in body or spirit I do not care,
The joy of your presence I long to share.

I have experienced the bliss of the Almighty God,
I would share my newfound love without a rod.

The love I have gained could fill this world,
But my greatest wish is to be your baby girl.

For a lifetime I have carried the grief of our separation,
And four little words were my only recitation.

“I miss my mommy” were the words that were uttered.
I feel like I’m going crazy—was this my clutter?

You must believe the energy you keep, you also reap;
if you can hear My voice remember the sheep.

I am the author and finisher of all things,
Be the prodigal son and come collect your rings.

The battle is over and I reign on the throne,
What could possibly be stopping you from coming home?

Seeking Me first is the key to the tree;
Look toward the cross and remember Me.

Acknowledge Me in all of your ways,
Sit back, relax and enjoy the coming days.

The angels in heaven rejoice for one soul,
For eternal life is the love of a whole.

Never leave you or forsake you was a commandment,
My omnipresence means there’s no such thing as abandonment.

DON’T GIVE UP ON OUR CHILDREN OR OURSELVES
by: David W. Johnson, Jr.

Day in and day out America is obviously pulling away from us
They use every trick they can to take our homes and our lives
We just kill, rob, sell drugs and in one another show no trust
Older men, start teaching young men about husbands and wives

Just what good are adults if we cannot teach children lessons
The lazy good for nothing in us is being instilled in our children
If our young daughters become pregnant, insist on abortions
Parents and adults are no longer someone children can depend

Time to get our young children off “You-Tube” and “My-Space”
Adults, we had better start using the “Web” to learn some real truth
Children can obviously see we are loosing the African-American Race
Face it; it is not our children but adults who are completely uncouth

Instead of saying. “I don’t know what’s wrong with children today”
When our children kill, rob, rape or sell drugs we quickly blame them
Time we face reality, “We are what’s wrong with our children today”
For our mistakes adults, our children we cannot continue to condemn

Fathers, find organizations in your communities that are helping children
Mothers, stop trying to become your daughter friend by hanging in bars
Children today, like yesterday, need you to be more parents than friends
Teach your daughters there are more to men than drugs and fancy cars

Parents are being lazy in everything from too much weight to not cooking
Fast food restaurants are getting super-rich from the laziness in inner-cities
Our neighborhoods are deteriorating and all we do is stand around looking
We have no clue about political organization, committees or sub-committees

Frequent use of the “N-Word” is proof enough that we don’t care anymore
Other races are constantly saying, “Blacks do not care about us or themselves”
The devastation within our African-American Communities cannot be ignored
My Brothers and Sisters, “Do Not Give Up On Our Children Or Ourselves”

…Children Need Us…We Need One Another…

GUESS WHO IS PAYING THE PRICE
by: David W. Johnson, Jr.

Why don’t we hear more about the good things our children are doing
We hear about some poor little animals injured or cannot find shelters
When it come to our children, we hear about the ones cops are pursing
There are Great American children, who only the best they are after

Why is it that the media only mention their lives, every once in a while
Reason being, America knows that they will motivate others to follow
They rather project the image that our children are just not worthwhile
How much of this non-sense are African Americans going to swallow

Face facts, if we do not step-up and save our children, no one else will
Are we driving the streets with our eyes closed, not paying any attention?
Promising and financial futures we need to start helping our children fulfill
There must be something wrong with African American’s comprehension

No longer do the police have to go to the firing range for target practice
Just set on a “7-11” parking lot and wait for our children to beak the law
Will take all of us working together if anything we are going to accomplish
From all of this negativity and selfishness we had better start to withdraw

I repeat what I said many times before, “nothing is happening by accident”
One woman fought to get prayer out of school, what can we do as a group
To bring about real change, we must come together, standup and represent
Listen to me, no war has ever been won by a soldier; it takes an entire troop!

Our children are at war with the United States of America and they need adults
African American males are in as much trouble as the Iraqis, America is fighting
As parents, if we do not fight for them, Iraqis are going to have better end results
Trust me; I am not setting at my computer sending this message just to be writing

Our future, which is our children are massively and intentionally losing their lives
My reasons for writing and speaking is to give my Beloved Race, good advice
We must encourage children to get an education and put down guns and knives
As adults it is our denial and stupidity but “Guess Who Is Paying The Price?”

…Here They Are, Are We Going To Help Them Or What?...

ACTING LIKE WHAT WE CALL OURSELVES
by: David W. Johnson, Jr.

So sad, how we view ourselves in the Twenty-First Century
We rather refer to one another and ourselves in vulgar terms
Talking to one another like prisoners in a jail or penitentiary
The way society view us, our negativity and language confirms

What is there positive about our pants hanging off and cursing?
Think police do not know why young people are buying blunts
Instead of going forward, our Children are rapidly regressing
Like circus entertainers, for others amusement we do stunts

Many adults will not help but so quick to criticize those who are
Our schools are in deplorable conditions and what are we doing?
We are playing Keno, hanging on the corners or at a local bar
The terrible problems children are facing could be our undoing

Baltimore Maryland has a few good, informative radio stations
WEAA-FM, at Morgan State tried to keep the public informed
By letting citizens know how to improve on children’s education
Trying very hard to surpass those who rather we stay, uninformed

Once adults are informed, they must put that information to use
Right now for too many of us, information is falling on deaf ears
Thanks to adults lack of concern children suffer uneducated abuse
Things happening to children today are enough to bring you to tears

Unfortunately, tears will not change things but a call to action will
We must stop behaving as though we are our own worse enemy
Sure, I agree there are some of us who most definitely fit that bill
Like Batman’s Joker, such people are our children’s archenemy

If adults stop calling one another the “n” word, so would children
Women are not “b’s” but great gifts to Men, Children and the World
All it takes to turn things around is for all of us to become friends
To become a great Man or Woman one must be a great boy or girl

Every low-down disgusting thing we can think of, we call one another
Many so-called parents are treating their children like stock on shelves
Males making babies then leaving them to be raised by only a mother
Only thing I can say, we are “Acting Like What We Call Ourselves”

Stop and Start Saving Children
