He'll Take the Pain Away

I was lost and now I'm found
Have been many places, close to the ground.
I thought I sold my soul a time or two.
If only you knew, what I've been through.
I've had a gun pointed to my head.
"Mistaken identity," is what the thug said.
I've seen my closest friend fight till the end, sick with wounds, until the morning of his doom.
I weep for my children, specifically my son, for his father, his aching heart long.
I've been many places, roads I didn't know belonged to me.
Dark paths, but my angels see for me.
Things that I can not see.
When I reach out for my brothers hand, when he just don't understand.
I've walked alone for many years
My eyes have been filled with tears.
My heart filled with fears.
That was many years ago, and now I know,
There is a higher power, I can release my sorrow, and He will ease the day tomorrow.
I know now that I have no control, but if I behold and embrace my Creator,
He will be my Savior.
My Rock,
He will protect my flock and I can rid myself of the trouble stock.
He will take the pain away.
Refresh my day. Release Me and Open my blinded eyes.

He'll take the pain away................................ © 2008

It starts with them mind of a child so undefined...
Pure hands tied.. Forced to feed on someone else's lies...
I cry for that soldier's wings clipped before they could soar...
Now, no one can experience the joys of laughter or the comforts of home...
We've turned on our own... heads bowed and songs gone..
Now, the pitter patters have switch to a mother's mourning...
Help me free that baby's chains... not visible to the eyes but, still locks him up with despise... I refuse to leave my little ones behind! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

When writing poetry I watch people and try to interpret what I see. I wrote a poem for the Levert family. Give me some feedback on it. It will be in my next book "The Soul of a Storm."

“MOMMA LOST ANOTHER BABY!”
“To the Levert Family”

There is no greater loss than the loss of a child
I am screaming so loud inside
I don’t know when I will settle down
I am on my knees hitting so very hard
I’m beating the ground calling on the LORD
My soul is being tormented
I’m not suppose to lose another child (not my baby)
Lighting struck twice within the same family
And now two sons of mine are no longer standing
What will a mother do
How can I continue on
JESUS will have to carry me
I don’t see no end to this storm
What kind of answer can you give me
JESUS will surely have to let me see
The rage I feel want to unravel my faith
I know,…..I know JESUS comes first
But what if I can’t
Let me see my sons one more time
Let me hear them sing real loud with pride
…..
Asleep that night my youngest came to me and said
Momma don’t cry
We are singing in heaven with angels by our sides
My oldest son gave me a kiss and a smile
And said momma no more tears
GOD told me to tell you to settle down
Perfection has no mistakes
So smile now
….
I woke up from my dream
And from that day I knew my boys were with JESUS
Safe and sound!

Wedding Vows

I will be the crown of your head,
bringing you glory as you are led.

I will be the inside of your life,
following your lead to avoid all strife.

I will be the shoe that covers your foot,
protecting your feet from sores taking root.

I will be the one that provides your meals,
using myself to complete life's deals.

I will be the strength behind your brawn,
supporting your steps from dust to dawn.

I will be the light behind your shade,
giving you hope when the road is not laid.

I will be the blanket that warms your bed,
covering your body from feet to head.

I will be the ring that possesses your finger,
keeping your mind so it does not linger.

I will be the glove that covers your hand,
listening to your voice and obeying your command.

I will be the equation to the rest of your life,
carving your heart without using a knife.

I will be the warmth on a cold winter night,
fulfilling your dreams and making life bright.

I will be the beginning to your end,
and also be your everlasting friend.

I realize this has been a holiday. So of course many have been doing Rest, Relaxation, Family Time, and Traveling. Unfortnately my sister loaned me her laptop so this is my fun =).

My reason for being HERE at this time....our activity went from the 1st group, we're about the 4th down right now. I couldn't imagine having to skim down the page to look for you.

Now, I say this early because I'll be going in the hospital (epilepsy center) for testing on June 4th. The visit could be from 1 to 14 days just depends. **Should I say more...**

You can talk over a Pepsi or one of those energy drinks. If you talk a bunch without anything...you can go out for drinks afterwards.

DON’T GIVE UP ON OUR CHILDREN OR OURSELVES
by: David W. Johnson, Jr.

Day in and day out America is obviously pulling away from us
They use every trick they can to take our homes and our lives
We just kill, rob, sell drugs and in one another show no trust
Older men, start teaching young men about husbands and wives

Just what good are adults if we cannot teach children lessons
The lazy good for nothing in us is being instilled in our children
If our young daughters become pregnant, insist on abortions
Parents and adults are no longer someone children can depend

Time to get our young children off “You-Tube” and “My-Space”
Adults, we had better start using the “Web” to learn some real truth
Children can obviously see we are loosing the African-American Race
Face it; it is not our children but adults who are completely uncouth

Instead of saying. “I don’t know what’s wrong with children today”
When our children kill, rob, rape or sell drugs we quickly blame them
Time we face reality, “We are what’s wrong with our children today”
For our mistakes adults, our children we cannot continue to condemn

Fathers, find organizations in your communities that are helping children
Mothers, stop trying to become your daughter friend by hanging in bars
Children today, like yesterday, need you to be more parents than friends
Teach your daughters there are more to men than drugs and fancy cars

Parents are being lazy in everything from too much weight to not cooking
Fast food restaurants are getting super-rich from the laziness in inner-cities
Our neighborhoods are deteriorating and all we do is stand around looking
We have no clue about political organization, committees or sub-committees

Frequent use of the “N-Word” is proof enough that we don’t care anymore
Other races are constantly saying, “Blacks do not care about us or themselves”
The devastation within our African-American Communities cannot be ignored
My Brothers and Sisters, “Do Not Give Up On Our Children Or Ourselves”

…Children Need Us…We Need One Another…

Yep, the power of "facts" on the internet. Ain't it grand? People take forwards as gospel. Do you all also believe that Barack Obama shouldn't be president because he's not an American citizen? It' says he's not on the internet! I kinda wanted this…
