Decaf, black or sugar-free flavored cream.

The Spices In Life by Kimberly Wilson

We add flavor our foods, our homes, our wardrobes and most of us add a little flavor to our lives. Meet Christine Veronica Webbster whose life is flavored with emotional, financial and social spices that fires flavor into her every waking moment.

From the day of her platinum-spoon birth into the household of the super-wealthy Webbsters, her emotional stability went on a downward spiral in to never, never land. Along the way she knowingly makes a life-long nemesis of Angelia McCarthy, acquires two Master Degrees and two multimillion dollar businesses, all the way to giving away her fortune and meeting the Grim Reaper face to face; delicious.

The Spices In Life has all the flavors in the mix.

My first novel can be ordered: http://www.amazon.com/dp/ B007F22K6I and it’s .99.

Thank you for your literary support. Please Facebook this to your family friends and every social circle you have; again, I’d greatly appreciate it.

BOLD STATEMENTS

Why are so many people needing to be un-acceptable. Why do they reach out to me in such a forceful manner. Do I appear to relinquish my RIGHTS as an achiever in any given effort. Read me my MEMORIES and the answer will reach out and touch someone; any one. The remedies that reside within my mind are consequences that may render one USELESS in their efforts. Recycle mandatory affections and reside amongst the COMPETITION that may master anger’s rejects. What we fail to sometimes realize is that we make MISTAKES but we are not to be held accountable for the such. RECAPTURE every demeanor that may fight to survive and within that circle, may become beknownst to you. When a TIGER cries and that they do, we can’t hear it as well as when a TREE falls and yes, it does make a SOUND. Feel me when you can’t and even when you won’t because everything I ATTEMPT to become only remembers that which may bring about my DEEPEST fear. ROARING is a call of the wild. Screaming comes from inside the closet and the mercy never rest. FAILURE can never be accounted for if the attempts are MEASURED. Record the evidence and scream it from within. Never allow FORCES to be with you; there is a heaven and the only way to know that, is to FORGIVE. Forgive when you can’t or simply when you don’t want to. Escape and FREE your…..

Knowing their mind allows the PLEASURE to revolve around what I resolute; and the REWARD will be all mine, no yours too.

Support that which is MANDATORY. I don’t think so far that which we accept is only as far as the eye can see and to only see can bring about UNBELIEF. Boldness is a fortified ELEMENT that will extinguish an enormous, burning DESIRE; there is another understanding which must be LEANED on.

The Enrichment Reading Room provides a space dedicated to reading with books that will help ignite their greatness by means of changing their mindset and behavior patterns.  Some would say, “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.” What if there is no water available? What then?  The Enrichment Reading Room is an opportunity for our clients to utilize a space for the betterment of themselves and their lives.

It is a foundational space for them to begin again and a chance to do something different than their past experiences have shown them.   Opportunity may be the key to success but it is knowledge and wisdom that keeps them there.  The following list of books will be stocked in the Enrichment Reading Room.

Types of Books

  • Self Help
  • Inspirational
  • Spiritual
  • Financial
  • Wealth Building
  • Style / Personal Hygiene / Grooming
  • Relationships
  • New Thought
  • Socialization / BehaviorShow Less
  • Poetry

The Enrichment Reading Room will house the following two collections:

  • Permanent collection – A collection of books that can only be read in the Enrichment Reading Area.  They are not allowed to be taken from the reading area.  We would like 2-3 copies of each book for this collection.
  • Free Books – A collection of donated books of which multiple copies can be obtained.  All of our clients will be allowed one copy of each book to house in their rooms.  For this collection would love to have between 50-100 books to distribute for use in the monthly book club.  It is personal goal to get 100 copies of You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.  If you are willing to purchase a new or gentle used copy of this book, please mail it to me at the address below.

The Edification Book & DVD Club purpose is to improve social skills along with providing information for life improvement.  Through the use of Monthly Spoken Word Programs, DVD Discussions and Weekly Book Club Meetings, our clients will once again become familiar with interacting in a public social setting while experiencing something opposite of their past surroundings.  This will be a way for them to find and discover new forms of expression that does not involve threats, intimidation, or violence.

If there is anything you can spare, please mail them to my attention at:

What I truly hope to gain from this situation is the ability to poetically stand firm; just like that. I thinking resemble antiques; things I haven’t seen except in my dreams. I’ve been 100 lives and I remember each one vividly; fascinating. I’ve been a lady in red, and visually do I still smell the expensiveness of the perfume I wore. Life and living meant business minus the lame bull. I rest. I resist. I almost gave up again the other day; because of a flash back. I was hit with some of that mesmerizing mess.

Love. That’s my aspiration; love. I repent for my spewed curses, hear my heart-felt blesses. My name has changed. Impossible; I can handle the truth. My mind tends to wrap around quick-changing-of-scene type innocence. Not reincarnation. Death hasn’t come yet, well not anything Jesus can’t handle. See I went from poet to storyteller; blessed! Some bewilderment unloaded.

What am I, a Kim. Who am I, a Leo. Why do I, no emotional discipline. Where am I, not where I’m going. Every hour of the day; that’s when.

Something from the mind of Kim Wilson

Lisa Williams had it all-exquisite beauty, a lucrative career, and a fabulous home. As a high-powered marketing executive for a Fortune 500 firm, she called the shots and meticulously planned every aspect of her privileged life. Every aspect, that is, except ... When her father died unexpectedly in her junior year of college, gone, too, was that moral compass that was to guide Lisa safely toward true love. Naive and uncertain when it came to matters of the heart, she gave herself completely over to a series of failed relationships. In the end, Daniel's well-hidden secret nearly caused Lisa to throw in the towel on life when his dirty laundry came to light. But, somehow, she found the strength to press forward. Although barely. Behind the torturous suffering of unrequited love, she buried her passions deep within and vowed never again to allow her heart to lead her astray. To avoid the pain that nearly drove her to suicide, Lisa developed a failsafe, ten-rule checklist to screen for the next Mr. Right. Everything worked perfectly until Jacob entered the picture. While definitely not a man Lisa's overbearing, status-driven mother would approve of, he was every bit the knight in shining armor she had been praying for. Only one problem: how would she get past the fact that Jacob did not even meet the top two rules on her checklist? Take this journey with Lisa as she tries desperately to reclaim the bright optimism and certainty of her youth while leaving behind the pain and disillusionment of her present. And discover whether she truly can reconcile Jacob's shortcomings with her trusted checklist.

The 2011 International Urban Book Festival, Cleveland comes to Richmond Town Square Mall, May 13 - 15, 2011. Throughout the mall will be local television, government and sports personalities reading for 30 minutes to a group of children or students. Authors will also sell and sign their books and novels and there will be several no cost literary workshops, classes and panel discussions open to the general public. We will identify 50 Cleveland area schools whose students may have financial challenges. Also, we will through our subsidiary R2Books, donate 20 gift certificates to each school, these can then be brought to our event and redeemed for a new book. We welcome other corporations to match our gift and help us give 10,000 books annually to deserving students across the United States. Tell everyone about us by sending them to our website: www.IUBFCleveland.info

Good Day Authors,

Looking to sell more books? The Author Collective has just organized two new book festivals which are certain to help!  The 2011 Michigan Spring Book Festival happens April 15th through the 17th at Laurel Park Place Mall in Livonia, Michigan and The International Urban Book festival, Cleveland takes place May 13th through 15th at the Richmond Town Square Mall in Richmond Heights, Ohio. We have rented the entire mall for these festivals and expect to have lots of book lovers and book buyers in attendance.

There will be workshops, seminars, panel discussions, classes and lectures on many topics in the field of literature. These learning sessions will be free of charge to public and will provide insight on writing, publishing and marketing books. We will be sending invitations to patrons from the Detroit and Cleveland area school systems & libraries. R2Books and other sponsors will donate 1,000 book certificates to deserving students in each of the two cities. These certificates are good for one free book and must be redeemed at the festival. Many of the student with free book certificates and their parents, will look to purchase additional books and meet the authors in attendance.

Do you love selling at book festivals but hate the rain, cold and the wind that almost always happen during an outdoor event?  Join us for our indoor festivals which will span the entire common area of these shopping malls. Interact with the more than 10,000 shoppers who visit these malls everyday. Author applications are now available on our websites.  Click the links below or call me to reserve your table today!

Look to see you there.

Alexander Devereux will be facilitating a peer lead support group, From Prisons to Possibilities: Support Group for African American Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse on Sunday, December 5 and Sunday, December 19, 2010
If you are an African American Male Survivor of Sexual Abuse we have a peer lead support group here in the Atlanta Area. It is a bi-weekly meeting that takes place every 1st and 3rd Sundays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Due to the sensitivity of the topic; a screening process is required for membership which includes a meeting with the facilitator of the group. The primary purpose is to make sure the applicant is a good fit for the group. The meeting location is disclosed after an intake screening meeting. This is a peer-to-peer support group (not lead by a therapist) for men who are survivors of sexual abuse. We follow a structured meeting format; this is not a twelve-step group.

The Group Membership Requirements

• Be a survivor of sexual abuse
• Be a non-perpetrator
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be in a current therapeutic relationship*
• Be willing to commit to regular attendance.

A Cast of Southern Fried Characters Animates Gar Fish & Long Gravy by Alexander Devereux

Outskirts Press announces the latest highly anticipated body, mind, spirit and new thought book from Chamblee, GA, author Alexander Devereux. July 15, 2010. Denver, CO, and Chamblee, GA - Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Gar Fish & Long Gravy: Memoirs of Southern Sensibility by Alexander Devereux. The author's most recent book to date is a 6 x 9 paperback in the body, mind, spirit and new thought category and is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/alexanderdevereux was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

Growing up poor in the small town of Vicksburg, Miss., Alexander Devereux didn’t have much materially, but there was no lack of remarkable personalities around him -- each of whom left an indelible imprint on his life. Gar Fish & Long Gravy collects the stories, insight, tragedies, and uproarious wit of an unforgettable cast of characters.

There’s Grandmama Lia’, whose hard-won wisdom on life, love -- and mistresses -- is dispensed in her kitchen to her beloved grandson, sometimes over Johnny Walker Black. There’s Ms. Peaches, who raises chickens in her ramshackle hut, yet might be one of the richest people in town. There’s Big Daddy, an imposing hulk, but his massive frame hides a vulnerable past and humiliating secret. And there’s Ms. Annie Laurie, a fabulously wealthy white woman who never had children of her own, but her love rains down on young Alexander. And that’s just for starters.

Based on real-life experiences, Gar Fish & Long Gravy is about the mistakes we make, the loves we share, and the stories we tell each other that make us who we are. It is the touching story of a boy who ultimately breaks free of the poverty and abuse of his extended family, yet never forgets the important lessons he learned along the way.

As Grandmama said, “If sense were common, everybody would have it.”

94 pages in length, Gar Fish & Long Gravy: Memoirs of Southern Sensibility is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the body, mind, spirit and new thought category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Gar Fish & Long Gravy meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $12.95.
Additionally, Gar Fish & Long Gravy can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press Direct bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore.

Advice on Exploring Erotica in Your Writing

MediaBistro's Morning Media Menu had a conversation with author Jamie Brenner about advice for writers looking to explore this newly crowded genre. An excerpt from Brenner: My first erotic novel came out two years ago. The landscape feels completely different. There is not just the hope to reach a mainstream audience with erotic novel, but the expectation that success is reaching everyone, not just the genre readers. Fifty Shades of Grey really raised the bar for that.
