Yes. These are quotes from the famous diarrhea mouth West. He gave these wonderful tidbits as he was announcing his own book, a 52 page book of cliches called "Thank You And You're Welcome."
So . . . he doesn't read, he doesn't respect writers, but he wants us to go out and pay hard earned cash for a booklet just because he dedicated it to his mother?

How do you feel about that? Will you buy it or ignore it? Will you pass on the word that Kanye thinks we are stupid? Will you start your own viral campaign to get his book ignored? Or will you be the sheep that rushes out and tags it because 'he's your boy'?

There is so much to be said, I scarcely know where to start. First, I read the Amazon reviews:

"The fact is, sometimes genius is hidden very deep inside the words of a great tome. In this case, the genius is hidden so well, it may never be found."

"I hope that the readers of this book are able to see it for what it is, infantile rambling philosophy of a man who should have left philosophy to people who actually have unique and clever ideas."

This is a time to be silent in regards to Kanye until we have spoken out for atrocities that affect us all by people like Rush Limbaugh, etc. and until we've spoken out in support of books by the bra ve, like Mumia Abu-Jamal's Jailhouse Lawyers.

This is a shame, disrespecting others' gifts and creativity and then turning right around and trying to use it to further his own ambitions [and line his pockets, I'm sure - but I'll withhold judgment on that, since I don't know him and pay him little mind in any case]

I have no intentions of buying his "book" and will definitely be passing on the word about his disrespect.

I read recently that he'd made these statements. I'm unsurprised by them, as I have yet to hear him publicly render even one intelligent statement. Not one. Ever.

I cannot, therefore, devote too much thought to any words that leave his mouth; he's shown me time and again that he doesn't deserve my attention (or, for that matter, any of my money, which I think is the best way to reinforce to him that actions have consequences.) Regarding his quotes, I can only say that it's a shame, the things some of us find to brag about...
