Agents of Literary Change

I wanted to share a few things about this book I'm reading. It's called The Self-Publishing Manual. It will help you get published. If you read this book, it will help you out a lot. I'm give you guys some things I learn and I'm still reading it.

Publishers Weekly, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal or The New York Times- These are the best resource to find books that authors publish.

The best resources are your own experiences and research- This is about what you have done or been through.

Write what you know- You can write anything that you want.

Poetry and fiction are very difficult to sell and, even when sold, have a short sales life, we will concern ourselves with nonfiction- A lot of self-publishing books that are difficult to sell are nonfiction and poetry.

Writing nonfiction doesn't require any great literary style- It doesn't but it is a good literary style.

Some of the things i got in the book that help me.

Researching further and putting it on paper will make you become an expert- You can get a lot out of doing your homework becoming published.

Becoming an expert start with interviews, articles, TV appearances, talks at local clubs, etc- You can be successful.

Publicity not only sell books, opens more doors and produces more opportunities to prove your expert status and make even more money for yourself- This is excellent.
